RX8 and a Truk....
WAS a great race! I caught it, channel-surfing and saw an RX8 in front of a Porsche. I actually heard words like these:
"The Porsche needs to close the gap before the front straight or the power of the rx8 will make it impossible to catch!"

I watched it with the thought ... hey, what if they repeat? Then my prayers were answered.

Thats cause the lighter Mazda already brakes well and can afford to set up their cars a little different without sacrificing too much.
Lally is a fantastic driver and did an exceptional job keeping it tight. Also... glad it was a tight race so that the officials don't get any ideas of changing the rules quite yet. If it was another 22 second win that would have been BAD.

fantastic race!! It was nice to see the RX-8 pull on the Porsche.... exciting finish for sure. 2 in a row for Speedsource, well done boys!! Can't wait to see more of the GT race in April, due to the split format.
Great job!!

Is the 20b from a cosmo, or is it an augmented Renesis?

Speed source rocks! You should hear those 20b's at Daytona where they can put the hammer down. At this past Rolex 24, you knew when those RX-8 were coming, they were the only ones that sounded like indy cars! Pure Bliss!

Try this - not the complete race, but great footage from inside the 8:

And this one - the 8 tries to take the lead on the high-side and then gets the lead in the corners when the Porsche goes wide and off the track!:

Enjoy!
