This might be old but I saw automobile article that the rx8 is done after 2012. Old news?

Yes it's true. The last car has already rolled off the line. The anticipation begins for the next model rotary. That likely won't happen until the Japanese, US and World economy turns around.

I'm closing this thread as this is really old news.

 

While they are no longer 'in production' MMC still has new stocks and it is still for sale in Japan only.
