The Sunday Post, July 20, has their reveiw of the RX-8 on Page G1. The writer 'lost track of time' driving the car. His only complaint was about the location of the navigation controls on the cosole.

First of all, the picture in the aforementioned article is of the Mazda EVOLV. He didn't even take the time to scrounge up a real picture. Second of all, all of the technical specifications he cites in his article are out of date. Third, he is a poor writer and all of his reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. If you read the USA today article he said the NAV system was the most intuitive he had ever seen and other manufacturers should take note. This was especially in regard to the controls being easily accessible and not up near the screen where you have to reach for them.
You will never accidentally hit the buttons, unless you are a poor auto writer for a good paper.
In addition to this, his 'price as tested' cannot be correct if it had the options it proclaims it did and had navigation"
also look at the list of 'cars to compare to' - please

Yeah that part really pissed me off, having my car compared to a calica, a civic si, and even worst a damn eclipse!!!!!! Just the mere fact that all the compared cars sport front wheel drive chassis' exclude them from comparison. Also the difference in horsepower, amenties, price, and handling and cornering capablities should only furthur diminish any possible comparison between the rx8 and these "sport compacts". Mr. Brown is a moron.
