just checked the local dealer website - their inventory shows 2008 models of every Mazda model are already on the lot, except the RX8. There are 6-7 2007 RX8s there, but that's no different than the other models, all of which have some 07's left.
Wonder where the 08 RX8s are?

Maybe the new face lift will be No more Mullligan attitudes to their RX8 customers.

 

Thats the only thing I can think of aside from the 40an being gray or silver looking but looks like a stock 8. The MS M'Z Tuned 8 is the only one that has a kit stock.

2008 RX-8 arrive at some dealerships in SoCal since mid to late August, but those are Sports only with no accessories and most only have one or two to show for. GT package arrive approx. Nov.

Some dealerships also have the '08 brochure already. I have got a copy from one of the dealership.

By late August, 2008 40th Anni. RX-8 couldn't be order by the dealership on their computer just yet.

 

So maybe just the GT package is different?

 

Can you tell me any changes to the specs listed in the 08 brochure? for the GT version versus the 07 GT version? Any features changed? i.e. indash 6-disc now has mp3?

Those seats are awesome. To bad that they will not come here as a regular thing.

 

No major difference other than Phantom Blue being drop and some options changed.

Brochure did not mention MP3 capability of 6CD changer, 2008 price list on MazdaUSA most likely a typo, but I am going to confirm this after the actual GT RX-8 arrives.

Red/Black interior available in Brilliant Black and Velocity Red

Sand interior available in Crystal White Pearl, Stormy Blue, Galaxy Gray, and Velocity Red.

other than MPG is now 16/22 (manual), 16/23 (auto) on sticker and in brochure, no other difference.

Check with your local dealership, it is likely they also have the brochure already.

 

I just want to clarify something about the 2008 RX-8.

Australian dealers have been informed that RX-8 importation will finish prior to Xmas and that the "new model" RX-8 won't start production until April 2008. So when Americans talk about the 2008 RX-8, understand that you should not expect to see changes to the RX-8 until the middle of next year.

 

ahh. so 2007 built rx-8's (2008 model) are the same.

2008 built Rx-8's (2009 models) are going to get the face lift.

And 2012 RX-7's get the bigger engine.
