XDeedubX this one's for you.. HKS on Speed TV

LOS ANGELES, June 27, 2005 - HKS USA, Inc., a leading manufacture and supplier of automotive aftermarket performance parts and accessories, today announced its sponsorship with XS Engineering, an HKS USA Certified Pro-Dealer, to develop the "ultimate tuner vehicle" for Speed Channel's newest car show creation called the Street Tuner Challenge. HKS will play a key role in providing XS Engineering with product and technical support for the 13-episode "build-off" show.

"We take great pride in being offered the opportunity to sponsor XS Engineering's development efforts of the Nissan Skyline for the Super Tuner Challenge," said Rick Lafferty, president, HKS USA. "As an HKS Certified Pro-Dealer, we are confident that XS Engineering will build an exceptionally well balanced driver's car."

The Speed Channel Super Tuner Challenge is a 13-week "build-off" between three of Southern California's best performance-based tuner companies. Each customizing shop will compete in a 13-episode journey to build their own unique 'sport compact' vehicle. Each episode focuses on the different phases of development including design, engine development and style. The cars will also be based on their ability to be the fastest and coolest cars on the street. Everything from complete engine swaps and rebuilds to extreme interior and exterior redesign, these cars will be ready to hit the track by season's end when they make their official debut at the 2005 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

"We are very excited to be a part of this new series. The Street Tuner Challenge represents the very best the tuner industry has to offer and we look forward to a successful show," said Troy Miyamota, XS Engineering. "With HKS as our partner, we are sure to build an exciting vehicle."

Although the details of how XS Engineering will build out the vehicle and what performance applications they will use from HKS USA are strictly confidential, but what can be shared is the vehicle application XS Engineering selected to use is a 1991 Nissan Skyline GTR. XS Engineering selected this car because it is one of the very best Japanese platforms to build an unbeatable tuner vehicle.
