Pretty fugly paint job IMO but a V8 into this little car is going to haul ***.

Volvo made out of lego's... Someone has too much time on their hands. It took 3 guys 2 months to put together. Its hollow and weighs in at 2900+ lbs.

And last but not least, the RX-8 Official pace car.

I was talking to the Mazda rep about the FI on the 8 and he assured me that there will not be anything done by Mazda.

I also brought up the gas mileage complaint and he said he heard the same thing on some car club website called RX8club.com . Mazda is reading this board...

 

That Dodge Slingshot looks like a 350Z from the front.

That Volvo XC-90 is crazy. And the Ford is the GR-1, not the GT.

 

Of course Mazda is looking at these boards.

We are customers to Mazda. They check in on our Comments as to which we think the RX8 can be improved.

So by reading up on our post. They do no work, but get ideas on what they should improve to make the Mazda Cars a hell of alot better.

In general - we tell Mazda what should be done by simply suggesting ideas we would do to our 8's.

 

That IS430 in the first post isnt really an is430.... well it is but not really.
It's a IS300 car with an IS430 engine in it from japan. Thats the same car from the 04 LA auto show with the same paintjob.

 

I love that Caddy concept.

I can picture myself rollin' with some hoes in a black one with chrome 22's pumpin' some JayZ. Pimpin!

 

That car was on "rides" a while back, they had a whole show on Steve Millen's shop and all the crazy stuff they're building out of there.

 

LOL---Mazda Reps--especially at car shows know about as much as we do about FI. I put absolutely no stock in dealers or reps.

 

Nice pics, I'm lovin' the pace car. I want one of those "Rotary Power" decals! Sport Compact Car tested that Lexus IS430 V8 a few months back. Sick! The car does huge burnouts!

btu they must answer all questions so any answer will do.

 

The IS430 concept is in the new r&t speed fall edition along with rx8 coverage

 

and have been since the board started 2+ years before the car went into production.

and yeah the rep has no idea what mazda is up to. i guarnatee there are individuals on this board that have more knowledge about what's on the horizon then any 10 Mazda reps at shows. you didnt happen to have a copy of the speed mag with the white SC'd car to show them did you? ill have to make a point of taking one with me when i go to the show here in feb.

 

I mentioned Sunflower Mazda but he claimed that was all aftermarket... I didn't push the issue as I figured I probably knew more than he did just by reading this forum.

 

I wanna cry EVERYTIME I see that car..

 

you guys do realize that "the Mazda rep" is just a salesman from a local dealer. He is not from Mazda factory. all the reps are always just salesmen from the local dealers that have to go to the car show to talk about the cars.

 

We should start charging.

The club gets a percentage of any idea originated on these boards that gets produced out of the Mazda factory.

I read up on that car at the end of 2003 in a magazine. They were estimating 1000hp out of that 16 cylinder. Some cylinders turn off at certain times when driving in city areas, according to the estimates. They'll never release a 1000hp car, not in the US anyway. They will release a version that they choke the hell out of though! It still looks really cool though, that roof is glass, and the interior is made of silk/leather, the exterior has real crystal accents scattered about it!

in NY all the reps are ladies, with nice bodies and guys that say they get flown around the country but switch different car companies.
i go to ny auto show every and pick the brain's of the mazda rep's.
