1st Auto-X!
56k WARNING
So after a whole year owning my car, I finally decided to drag some friends along and go to the local Auto-X :D IT WAS FUNNNNNNNN! Kinda hard to push it very much since I baby this car so much, but yeah here are some pics!
My friends and I - zee Asians
Babak's EVO
Greg's stripped out GTI
Track was wayyyy too dusty for RWDs...
Look at my front left! lol
Zoom-Zoom!
Learning from the Vetarans, this dude is sooooooooooo quick. He beat an EVO's time in a little mighty 318ti a friggin 1.8 that makes 140ps lol IN YOUR FACE EVO!
And in Joe's Miata
You have NO IDEA how clumsy a G35 really is.
Melissa in action.
RAWR! Imma get you!
Fun time's over, boohoo
Why hello there beautiful.
Alex's 4X4 in action
LOL
Guy's claimed to be in WRC =_= meh... he did like 5 secs slower than a stock 2.3 Mazda 3
Haha. Friend's riced out lancer.
Elise cone killin'
oh god, this was awful.
Accrrosss the finish lineeee innnn 55.295, while this guy in C-Stock with R pounds did it in the 47s

it is! it's definitely the most fun I've had with the car to date. Find yourself a club in your region and register for the next event like... NOW! lol
thanks Omar
haha dude don't say sometime within next year, do it nowww. It's sooo much fun lol. For the sunburn part not so much haha, but yeah, you'll like it!
Yeah well i know haha it's just an excuse for me lol. I'm running way too wide around lines, braking when I shouldn't and not going for the throttle enough every time. This is what you get for babying the car so much (another excuse) lol. However, I do hope I'll get better with more seat time. :P
haha thanks dude. Yeah, I've got both Cusco front and back, with the same branded front strut bar. I can tell it helps a lot. I don't know, it might be my coilovers too (HKS RS).
thanks Omar

haha it's arite once you get the course in your head and know what every cone means. but yea, i'd definitely wanna try a road course one day. maybe after finishing up my pilot license lol, with like 300 a day, i don't think i can quite afford it yet lol.
haha np!
lol it is! it really is the best time that i've had with my car :P yeah well, there were a couple of vettes around, some ix evos, 2 lotuses and that's about it, there were shitloads of miatas and shitloads of s2000s, they were still pretty fast though

Gratz. I got hooked last year, this is my first full year.
Getting the course right is much much simpler than people think who just look at the video.
And your comments about the different cards were humorous. After a few events you will realize that weight is king on autocross courses.
There is a ~600hp Lingenfelter Camero that regularly shows up to our autocross events, and his times reflect the 4,000 pounds he is pulling around. Rarely can he even use a fraction of the power he has. We had a damp surface a few events ago, and he had to basically coast through the course, and packed up after 2 runs. He said he couldn't even touch the gas pedal. A Viper SRT-10 was there last weekend, same issue really. Often a supercharged mustang as well, same issue, etc...
The fastest times are consistently put down by the smaller, lighter cars. For example, the 1,200lb 135whp WRX with solid beam rear axle, 800lb springs, and the sway bars from a Chevy Suburban generally beats the times of the 1,800lb 340whp supercharged WRX with unknown suspension mods. And both drivers have been at it 8+ years.
But yeah, I encourage everyone to get into it, and not wait till later. Get into it as soon as possible. If I ever have kids, they will be autocrossing in the junior car t class till they hit 18 and can move to cars. Teaches you alot, it's a ton of fun, and it's cheap.
