TODreamer, he did let me drive it. It has a lot of power and a smooth ride. It is a lot smoother then the 2001 Corvette he traded in. It feels a lot more powerful also.
Kn34, I have been using Liquid Glass for years and never had any problems with humidity. I like it because it really protects the car. I accidentally hit my car with my car key and it didn't even scratch the car.

She is a great dog. Her name is Lexi. We woke her up when she was sleeping and she made that angry face. I just had to use it as my Avatar. I know what you mean about the hyper disposition. She is only a year and a half so she likes to run all over the place. We will take her to the park every now and then to give her some exercise. That will usually tucker her out enough to be calm during the night.

Was driving north on I-65 today towards Louisville, and saw a portable parking lot-full of new Vettes heading south.
My neck still hurts from when I snapped it to look as they went by.
What's better than a Corvette? A bunch of them. Tell your dad in law congrats on a beautiful ride.

i'm sure it's a very nice car, but i hate those headlights, and that grille (especially the grille, it's just so japanese it's crazy...). the headlights should have been something really special, instead of ricer specials, that look like they're trying to copy the latest fat Fiat's.
other'n that, i like the styling. the car has been pulled back in tighter on itself, many of the cues on the back hatch remind me of the C4, the new door lines and beautiful fenders are really great, the *** is still fat (but i guess everyone's used to seeing them).
i bet you can still get near 30 mpg when you're cruising in that thing, too.

The new C6 looks badass. If I had more moolah and was in the market for a new car I'd likely get one. As it is 30K was about the most I could comfortably afford right now and I'm loving my 8.

i think the new c6 looks way better than the outgoing c5. the headlights do look more exotic, like a ferrari 360 modena imo. why the automatic tranny? you wont get the full experience that way!

I thinkthe reason why the automatic vettes sell morethan the stick ones do is b/c your typical vette owner today is in the 35 - 65 range and doesntwant to deal w/the hassle of shifting. Also w/400 horsepower that automatic can surelyhold its own.

actually on this car the auto is only a few seconds slower than the stick, according to this site anyway

too bad our auto's aren't that close to the 6 speed, that would hopefully squish all the senseless auto bashing on this site

I owned a 2004 RX8 and got rid of it for a 2005 Corvette. While the Rx8 is a great car. I dont regret making the switch. I am lucky enough to have been able to own 2 world class sports cars........... but 2 cars that are as different as night and day. Anyone who owns either car should be very happy indeed!!!!!!!!!! I will always give the corvette wave to all of you rotor heads! Good luck with your rides!!!!!!!!!! Gary (04 yellow RX8 / 05 yellow Corvette)
