2005 Key in action
When I was test driving the RX8 lately, I had decided I would save some money and get a 2004 model. I had picked out the car I wanted and then the sales lady talked me into driving an 05 just for the heck of it. When she handed me the key, I just stared at it for a moment and played with it like a little kid playing with a new lego pack. That was all she wrote! I said forget the 2004 model, I'll pay the difference. I hadn't even opened the door yet. :D So, this is the true reason I purchased an 05.

I'll just give you a brief here and if you need help further let me know.
1. Digital camera/still shots/jpg
2. Import folder of selected images into ImageReady
3. Rotate/add text & logo/crop
4. Apply time to each frame
5. Export to gif under 200kb

I looked at the "05 when I was in for 30,000 maintenance--that switchblade is sweet!! How did you get yours and what did it set you back?

P.S. to the last post--I go to Houston a couple times a month, usually deal with Jeff Haas when I'm in town.
Thanks, JLP

I comes with Photoshop, If you or your child is in school or someone in the family is in the educational field then you can get the Photoshop at a HUGE discount. I purchased the Photoshop CS Graphics suite. However I use it professionally so I can justify it. There are shareware packages you can get. Go to http://www.versiontracker.com and do a search for "gif annimation".

I can't believe people with the '04s pay > $100 for these keys! I mean, they're cool and all, but it's just a frickin' key. It won't magically add 50 hp or something

I got mine from mazdaparts for $175 shipped--then had Jeff Haas cut the key for $10. Followed the programming instructions that came with the key and was good to go. I love it--its similar to my mom's Mercedes key-- already have gotten compliments. Its the subtleties that I like.

Besides, I spend much more money going out on the weekends @ clubs/bars.. so i'll just stay away for a month and the key is paid!

Mine came with the 05 but I guess you would go to the dealer and give them your 5 digit code and they could order and cut.
