May is perfect.

I liked both years, so I trust that you guys know what you are doing.

(though I must say I like the all color better, there there you got an input from me)

The bigger verrsion is the same, still al ittle blury. I dont mind though. makes it look like its going fast!

if you dont like it, I can always find another. I have more.

The idea I had in my mind was a spin on the cover we did last year...with all the boxes. Maybe if you can play with that idea a bit and see if we can come up with something that may have a large image, and maybe six smaller images with different orientations.

...we could also try and work that kid rotor idea into things...

do you remember the "enigma" look......

My thought was to lose the black border on the right, lose the mods list and the small rim pic.

I like the black border, maybe keep the larger black border on the bottom edge...we can continue to use that spot to have the person's name and quote (if people want to keep that part)

I will add your feedback....you want to keep "all color".

You pick the images that you like...it is your calendar page. I agree that it makes it look fast...and it definately is different.

I like the pics I took at irwindale speedway after the drift event.....maybe I'll use one of them somehow.

another idea is just have one main image (enigma or Not) and then have all the smaller stuff (if we have them) in the calender (dates) protition. this keeps the main image very clean and undistrubed.

we coudl also change the format of the image to the dates insides of doing a 50-50 we could have the large image but a small / condensed dates area.

do any of you guys ever take verticals shots...i seem to be the only one, haveing a variety of picture orientations can help with the juxtaposition of things.

ok....we have one open month.....Ghost will take either January or July....but what do we do with the extra month?

I kinda like the idea of multiple images...as well as the images in the lower section. One image would be clean, but boring and hard to choose.

you think having something like this is boring on the top (it may not look right for those who use autocorss shots though) but we do other effects like fuzz and sharp contrasts?...we can have the other images in the dates area all of the same car so the benefits of small images are still there. ...what if we all signed out names fancy and then we could superimpose them over the image in white like a autograph?

I personally dont like the kid rotor for the calender as a large image (i like how we used it this year though).

I'm thinking about the problems we had with dark images and getting them printed. Think about the snafu with Cesar's image the first year, as well as Toca's..those were both darker images.

And then I wasn't too happy with the darkness of my main image this year....it was too dark.

I think the Enigma looks nice, but it may create too many problems when we go to print. We can definately look at the idea of just using one shot, and then using the bottom portion to highlight other shots of the same car.....but not all months are created equal...some people will get many slots, where as others may get one.....I'll have to look at this years calendar to confirm this...but I think there was one month with only one or two small pics, and others that had up to five.

You could try the enigma look with some other shots....for some reason, I'm thinking that it only looks good with dark colored cars.

I think the one suggestion that we did receive from Casey was to use all color. Adding Enigma would kinda go in the wrong direction from that suggestion.

Razz sent me a message and he has asked for the final month. We have all months reserved now...so now it is up to Loren and I to post up some design choices for you guys to select from. Loren....would we want to have some designs up by the 14th? Is that a reasonable timeline?
