4 Years old and going to storage!!
Well i am going to Med School and storing my baby for 9 months.. Cleaned her up and also waxed her. Have to say that I babied this car...It has never been winter driven and driven only a few times in the rain..... can count it on my fingers. Yes I was always crazy about my 8. It only has 40,000KM on it and it looks factory new....It's a 1/2006. It has always been garage stored and most of it's life it has spent in the garage expect for the summer times
Never had any mayor tech issues with the car. I have always changed the oil ever 2000km. Used premium gas 94...Yes we get 94 Octane here in Canada from Sunoco. I am not sure how it is in the U.S.A. I bet/hope you guys get 94 too .
So I waxed her, will fill up the tank full( Should I put fuel stabilizer??), change the oil( 5W-30), plug my exhausts and intake....you guys think I should raise her suspension a bit ..since she will be sitting for 9 months...and ohh yes will disconnect the battery....anything else??
btw the inside of the car still smells like factory

It would be better if you could arrange to have it started and warmed to operating temperatures about 3 times per month. Nine months in storage will probably dry out your seals. I've had several Mazda techs tell me that long-term storage isn't kind to the Renesis. I've also heard this from active-duty service people who must leave their cars parked for long periods.
While some people will undoubtedly give you the opposite opinion, I'd rather lean in the direction of better safe than sorry.
Older tires would develop a flat spot if you left them on pavement for long periods, but I don't think modern tires are as susceptible.
I've had mine for 3-1/2 years, just turned over 15,000 miles this morning. I garage it in winter but still start it, warm it up, and even run it up and down my 100-foot-long driveway if it's clear and dry, just to keep everything lubed and limber. Mine still smells new, too! I park her on carpet for the 3 months or so that she's off the road every winter, just for added peace of mind.
