Unhappy AHHH whyyy me!

So i was cruising maybe 5-10 above speed limit in the fast lane on commercial blvd in S FL... n outta know where, this ******* attempts to cut across two lanes to avoid getting stuck behind the slower moving driver in the lane next to me... would have clipped my front bumper... slammed the brakes, and leaned left, only to meet the curb, which got personal with my left wheels, tires, n side skirt. all before a track meet too. Andddd they dont sell the aeroflares in singles... so ill have to fork out a full 240 for a new pair. needless to say, im sad n mad. driver drove off too.

Sorry to hear the news. You should be able to get it repainted for less than $240.

That's hardly a reason to get the side flare replaced. As it was said, you can probably get that fixed for less than $240, let alone having to take this off and putting the new one on.
Sorry for your bad luck...

think of the side flares as "Rocker panel protectors". I would rather damage an aero flare than my rockers.....

what was the damage to wheels and tires?

That happened to me once...
I was driving a family friend's jag to prom. My dad didn't want to let me borrow it and was worried about the liability. I was pissed cuz I was thinking he thought I was reckless. On top of that, when I go to pick the car up, the owner had just finalized a deal to sell it to somebody else. So technically, it wasn't even his anymore...
Anyway...I was cruising in the left lane when the same thing happens: A blue beamer almost merges right into me from three lanes over. I think he was just getting onto the highway. Anyway, I swerved into the bushes lining the median, he sped off, probably didn't even see me. $3000 in damages.... I worked all summer to get that one paid off...

I just had mine repaired. The aero flares are just plastic. Some fiberglass and some new paint and they are as good as new. In your case you probably only need the paint. In my case, there was a small hole in it. After the repair, you can't even tell. The point of this story is that the aero flares are plastic and replacing it is unescessary.

arrite... would have to find a paint source n someone to paint it. still gotta work for it though. oh well. nothing can be done now...

Gyro... The wheel damage was minimal... just a line scuff along the outer rim of the wheel on the back, and the front jsut about an inch long/wide drag mark... at the tire on the first one has a slightly ripped part... still on the side though so no big deal.

I guess im a lil over worried. first "accident". As for the *******... he'll get his eventually. what goes aroudn comes around

If you've got a couple hours split between 2 days you can do it yourself for cheap. Depending on how deep it is, buy bondo or just the finishing bondo. A detailing pack of various sandpapers, a can of sandable primer. Now go to paintscratch.com and order a can of aerosol in an exact match. don't forget the clear coat too.

You'll have PLENTY of paint left for tons of side projects and further mishaps.
