NY Another new member.

Hey guys,

Just bought my '04 Winning Blue Rx-8 a couple weeks ago. Everything was stock except aftermarket Borla Performance Exhaust. The stock wheels just had new rubber mounted by the previous owner, but I took the wheels off my previous car and luckily they fit just fine. Lastly, I just put on the clear corners today.

So, all stock except exhaust, wheels, and clear corners.

Here some pics, it was cloudy today and I will get better pics when the sun is out. Its been raining pretty much everyday here so I haven't even washed the car since I got it.

I will post some more when I clean it up and the sun is out as I said before.

Thanks for looking,
Michael

It might just be the picture, But your front passsenger wheel looks like it has positive camber.

Just looks a bit odd to me

I'm happy to know my clear corners made their way from one WB to another. Enjoy the car, it's more than most can handle.

I'm from Buffalo, NY. The wheels are Moda R6's from Italy, polished aluminum. As for the camber question, its the camera in an awkward position. It is supposed to be decent tomorrow so I'm pretty excited to get this washed up and get better pics up.

Thanks for the comments and to RedfineRX8 for the clear corners!!!!

Thanks for the comments guys.

As for plans, I want to get some of the basic maintenance out of the way - plugs, wires, coils, diff. fluid. Previous owner said he did the tune-up but no records to prove plus I'd like to do it myself and get a little more accustomed to the motor. I guess I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for a set of springs, as per everyone's mentioning so far haha.

Also would like to get the metra kit I've read so much about, and possible snag a double din head unit of some sort. I have a ton of stereo stuff from my other car, most of which isn't going to make the transition, but I'm keeping an open mind for suggestions.

Well sure enough, awesome day today. Didn't have to work, but by the time I finished detailing and cleaning the car it was completely overcast. I'm going to post some pics anyhow.

I'm thinking lowering springs as the next plan of action. Right after I fix the moisture on the tail light that is driving me nuts.

Thanks for looking,
Michael

I took them off my stealth, which should be laid to rest soon - very hard to find in good shape since they stopped making them, but is still my favorite wheel.

God damn, yeah, don't drill holes on your tails. Take it off, let it dry, buy a new gasket and some 3M adhesive spray and cross your fingers. Car's begging for tint and a drop. Good luck and happy Rotoring

drilling holes is fine
I drilled holes in mine...been moisture free for almost 2 years
if you want to waste your time with the gasket, go ahead...the problem will come back
but then again, what do I know...

Welcome aboard!!! Nice ride.

Drilling is retarded when black RTV around the stock gasket works fine. Why are they guys that drilled so adamant about drilling instead of a less invasive way? Drill you tail lights unnecessarily? That just retarded, sorry.
