Auto Exe FINALLY DONE...
Well after 2 months of parts being on back order etc. the kit is on and almost totally done. Still have a little touching up to do. We managed to retain the factory crash bar (for those who were questioning it) by trimming 1.5" of the kit from behind so it would clear. The bar will have to be painted black. Didn't have enough time to paint it b/c we had to leave for Nopi Nationals (took 2nd place in Mild class BTW). Modified Mag stopped by the booth and shot some pics and there should be a few pics in Super Street from the SS Tour as well.
Big thanks to Glenn at Motegi Racing for the rims, Matt and crew with BF Goodrich for new tires for the Eclipse (and the Mazda hint hint)and for getting them mounted up between drifting practice, Candi and Cam at Pettit Racing for the rotor and housing to prop the hood, Creative Classics for the body work and getting the car back together, Huff and all the people at Vivid Racing for helping get the kit here in one piece. You guys rock!

I'll post them in larger sizes when we get them on the other server tomorrow.
there was also a Red 8 from Canada there with the R Magic front in the Ignited booth, there was also 2 Veilside kitted cars as well.

that kit is freakin beautiful...I'm starting to think it trumps the Mazdaspeed version but I haven't seen it in person
from the pics I say: front bumper for Autoexe is a litte slicker looking while the rear bumper is MS hands down...the side skirts...virtually the same

The kit was like $3000 or something like that. I'm not sure about the total b/c the whole thing was a combination of Insurance money and sponsorship.

Be approachable. The general public will ask questions about your car, and a lot of times you might think that they are silly questions. Make them comfortable with talking to you about your ride. Thank them just for stopping to look at it. Often times you will hear people bashing things about your car, don't let it bother you. Welcome people that are taking photos of your ride. Don't hover around it at the show, people will know that it's yours without you standing around wiping it down occasionally just to be seen.
The problem with most people when they get sponsored is that they just take the product and run. I have studied all the products on both of my cars and I can answer any questions that people have regarding the product. Be flexible on where you can travel for your sponsors. They have given you product so that it can be seen in various places.
Another good tip is to form a strong relationship with a local shop. KC Trends here in Kansas City got us hooked up with Motegi Racing. Motegi in turn hooked us up with BF Goodrich, Motegi sent us to Chicago for Traxion where we met the rep from Auto Meter. 2Fast.com is a sub company of Motegi Racing. Now every 6 months we get new products for the cars. Hell last year we had the DPK's on the RX-8 3 months before they were available for sale.

ahhh, cool response showoff. I tried it for a while with my s10 I used to have but that was before all the tv shows and build this and that madness so none of the compaies were willing to help out as the market was not quite there yet, sucks as I was pretty much just as you described, approachable, leaving my ride wide open to be looked at, answering questions all the time etc. I had the GMC envoy front clip on my truck and that alone had people falling over themselves with questions. oh well, maybe someday I'll just open up my own shop and sponsor my own ride heh We sure could use a decent place here in Austin to go to, most of the places here are too expensive or their work is sketchy at best (blowing up motors etc.) Good luck with everything, I like the kit, makes the car look like it is smiling at you

There are some REALLY big things happening next year for Motegi. You will see in a few months.

It is hard to see the kit in the booth, so we are taking more pics Sunday, but in the meantime...here are a couple more.
I love that the rear fender flare is extended and something about the side skirts from the side rear view is beautiful!
My artistic view, Chris (showoff) hates when I take close ups, but I think she looks hot in this pic.
Last teaser...here is our other car...2000 Mitsu Eclipse on 20's (you can see part of it in the other pics). This is the car that started us off with sponsorships.
