Before/After pics of my exhaust tips
#26
When I had my Greddy SP2 exhaust, I read that the English Custom Polish was the best stuff in the world. So I bought the rather expensive stuff for over $30 with shipping.
I got to work on the tips. I had to wear latex gloves as this stuff is caustic, I followed the directions. Gloves, polishing cotton work into metal, micro fiber cloth buff. The results were less than stellar. It works, but it's too mild and milky and required too much time and effort, though the metal was smooth it did not remove all the tarnishing on my tips (and my tips weren't nearly as bad as the ones posted by the OP). I tried the product on two other occasions and it never really improved my tips beyond the first application.
I give the English Custom polish a so-so rating for use on the Greddy tips.
I eventually went back to using my standard polish at home, Simichrome Polish. The Simichrome works better than the Englich Custom stuyff at getting at the stains but it still didn't remove all the golden tarnish. I can't trust everything I read in here but since the OP use the Blue Magic with good results on the Greddy tips I have I'm going to give it a try with a Mother's mini power ball.
BTW Where did you buy the Blue Magic? Standard stuff at Pep Boys / Autozone?

I was told that Mothers metal polish/Meguiars metal polish/Blue Magic are all equal.

Just want to know if this Blue Magic stuff is THE ISH to get for the Greddy exhaust tips... I've already tried Dawn, English Custom, and Simichrome and none of them are outstanding.
Oh and in my experience there is no such thing as a 5 min job. If you can really polish those tips in 5 mins, it would be magic....

Hold on... they are all polishes but are you saying the results were the same for all these three polishes? No way....

I swear to god I spent less than 5mins polishing each tip. It's very effortless.

nice results turbo!
I have been using English Custom Polish for years and the stuff ROCKS!! Bummer to hear someone here didn't have a good experience with ECP but for me, it's worth every penny.
Doesn't seem like you can go wrong with either one of these products. (check the RB gold tips no more thread for my ECP pics)
