maybe on a fully kitted show car rx8...

edit: i still don't like em on that white 8. the car looks aggressive but the wheels look too old school for our body style.

Negative, I was not joking... rim-to-fender gap is too big

haha...I was about to comment that I bet he was mainly looking at your wheel gap and not realizing your front bumper hangs low.

Much easier to eliminate wheel up gap when you are running the stock bumper and no OE air dam

go ahead and switch out that set up you got with the stock front bumper and then let me know how ya feel. also please further explain as it seems like you are running 18x 9.5 and do not seem to be on any coilovers, so i dont get how you can say that i need to lower mine when in reality my car prolly sits quite a bit lower than yours.

i may get in trouble for this but i cant resist does anyone see a resemblance between ricks avatar pic and ellen degeneres....sorry couldnt resist

Hahahaha funny resemblance, I think my mouth is bigger though

My car is sitting on coilovers, dropped about 2" in the front and 1.5" in the back. It's waiting on the fenders to get rolled next weekend before I slam it.

PS ~ 18x9.5 front - 18x10.5 rear

so you sit on coilovers dropped 2 in the front and 1.5 in the back, while i sit on tein s techs which lowers about 1.25 in the front and around the same in the back. i also have a body kit all the way around while yours is stock, making my car sit as low if not lower than yours since you are on coilovers. i also have a bigger wheels set up and while im not sure on your tire set up im pretty sure your gonna be running something around 265 or so, so excuse me for not realizing how you can tell me to lower my car when we atleast sit at the same ride height if i am not lower.

Hmmm... I don't think my point is getting across. I'm not really sure what the difference is between the following two situations:

Situation 1:
Right now
My car is lowered 2"/1.5"
I tell you the rim-to-fender gap on your car is too big

Situation 2:
Next weekend
My car is lowered 2.25"/2"
I tell you the rim-to-fender gap on your car is too big

Either way, I'm stating that your rim-to-fender gap is too large

haha you both need to chill on this pissing match

Rick, your car has too much gap as well and needs some neg camber to get the wheels to sit nice. Let's see how it looks post coilover install and getting an alignment done.

perks, no need to make it personal.

I agree, but I'm aware of the gap... that's my argument.

The coilovers are already in, it's waiting on a fender roll before I go lower.

EDIT ~ Ugh looking at those pictures makes me want my fenders rolled asap...

I used to have her lowered, but couldn't even get out of my own lot when I lived in LA without issues.... I'm thinking of getting a slightly less aggressive drop now, maybe the Racing Beat springs + Bilstein HD. Don't know what that would do as far as fender gap goes.

But I'm havin fun pdx!!! Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. And I don't think you get what I'm saying I sit low enough that I already rub and my front bumper is cracked from sitting to low. Unlike you I don't really like the look of the stretched wheel. Which is why I went with a smaller set up wheel wise. Honestly I'm not really a fan of your car at all rick but its yours so do with it what you want. But I'm not sure who designated you car or wheel god. What's the point of saying that every car needs to be lowered though we get the point if the car has a wheel gap at all it needs to be lowered, so stop with the pointless posts. But I'm through with ellen she's all yours guys.

No one did, but wheel gap is wheel gap, regardless of who the car/wheel god is.

You don't like stretched tires and I don't like wheel gap. Fair enough. All I did was state an opinion and you reacted.

I'm assuming only the black bolded text was intended for me and not what is highlighted in red I used to own the shine autobahn front and know how low it sits. I'm not a fan of the ubber stretched look either. But I do appreciate a clean low ride.
