Quite demoralising to watch, you either have to spend lots to gain a lot of power or gain very little with what we normal folks can afford.

I enjoyed watching that. I wish we could get our hands on some of the trick parts those guys have access to.

After driving the Yumekobo rx8 Keichi gave it a 85 (something close to that). It would have been a higher score but of course the power was an issue. He said the hadling was great and had great entrance speed. They liked the Trust turbo 8 and said "this is how the rx8 should have come stock". The JIC RX8 with the 13B REW was bad ***. Keichi and the guys liked its power it had but they weren't really feeling the handling (maybe a bit too soft). And the only reason why the Yumekobo RX8 won the first race against the FD, STI, AND S2K is because Keichi cheated after the first lap using the pit lane...hahaha other than that the STI owned everyone (except the FD)

That was golden! I don't understand why that FD was burned by the RX-8, S2000, and STi. I thought it would have been an STi vs FD race. Yeah, the cheating part was really funny. I didn't think they would do that in test courses like that video. It was all fun for them anyway.

Yeah keichi is funny as hell, from the point where he cheated he used his driving skills to pretty much block the rest of the guys from passing him (true racers technique.. haha) i mean look at the sector times...the sti and FD were about 4 seconds faster than the RX8..hahaha..i think the 8 would have done much better if it didn't rain...then again so would have the sti and FD...still classic though...

Best video ever!

You guys have to give the RX-8 alot of credit. Its not about power and you guys are gifted with such a good chasis. The Fujita RX-8 only has 16 more hp yet it was the fastest car in the 300 and under class. It impressed Tsuchiya so much.

Mazda used the RX8 as a steping stone but they moved mountains in terms of handling. And they focused on linear handling...you can see the difference. And now they say they are focusing on power which will be in the new RX7. But power is useless if you dont hav ethe suspention or chasis to handle it

600 hp MCR skyline and 550 hp Yashio S15 Silvia jsut got blown away by a 380 hp RE Amemyia RX7. It was a very good race and shows the difference between handling and power. It will be good to see the new tougue king in the future as the MCR skylinge said he will be back.

Best battle was Yashio S15 Silvia with 550 hp vs RE Amemyia's 380 HP RX7. both FR machines and both around 2700 lbs

IT NOT ALL ABOUT POWER!

I know crap load of people want a dyno queen and want to brag about a 1000 hp RX8. or a 9 sec RX8. Its about total balance.

Learn how to tune rotaries from the best...watch this video.

Tsuchiya even made front of Yashio saying all he cared about was power. The RX7 was on stock turbo and stock breaks. the RE Amemyia guy said putting after market breaks ruined the blaance so they had to put stock parts back on.

The FD wasn't trying. I've been watching that vid since it came out months ago, and you can tell it wasn't trying at all. I think it was there more to observe the other cars go at it, because it would have killed all 3 if it were really trying.

This was my favorite part of the video.
1 - The car kicked ***
2 - The drift king said more power on the FD was not needed, nor did he want it. He said it was perfect!!!!
3 - Did you notice how the skyline tuner quickly killed any suggestion at shaving weight? Very typical of skyline tuners. They know their car is a power beast... and they tune in that direction.

As it says in my signature line its about the balance of Power:Weight... but its also alot more than that. The importance of the RX-8s strong chasis and excellent suspension are also highlighted in this video. EXCELLENT!!

Oh, and the drift battle was fun too

He does that in alot of videos. I'm suprised the STI driver was so suprised. HEHE!! May not be fair, but it is very entertaining.

It was funny waiting for the STi to jump back in front of the RX-8 again, but couldn't because Keichi kept blocking the pass. If he had played fair, the STi would have walked across it like nothing.

"im not keen on sheading weight"

which means next time he comes back its probalyl going to be like 800 hp skyline GTR. Tsuchiya was hitting the scramble boost like a mad man to catch up.

problem is with more power it will be faster but way harder to break with that weight and power. Weight is so important in a sports car.

no lie...everyone said it was perfect and gave it a 100 out of 100...except orido who gave the car a 98. said he would like mroe power on the street...typical supra owner...lol. hes use to driving his 600 hp redox supra.

can wait for RE Amemyia's project RX8...59 sec arouns Sukuba... = FAST

that GT-R doesn't stand a chance without weight reduction.
