A little off topic but on topic.... Alot of the guys around here are Tuning thier cars on an E85 map. Mainly the turbo setups on a couple Rx7's and a couple 240s with an RB25 and RB30 hybrid stuff goin on. Anyway, this got me thinking. If you were to tune a vehicle for E85 and spray nitrous, would the fuel side of the wet kit have to be larger to compensate for the E85? seeing how the injectors need to be tuned to flow more fuel when using E85.
Once again this is just me being curious and i am not sure that the higher octane of the E85 would really have positive effect on a non boosted car. That **** is everywhere here in the midwest though, and $1.35 a gallon lol

Not necessarily as we haven't even gotten to the point of having spent considerable time controlling the ignition system during nitrous use for shots higher than 55 h.p. with pump gas. So far, with F/I systems adding as much as 100-125 rwhp I see no reason for nitrous to not do the same thing.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried direct injection on the renny as yet?

I thought on your own personal car you tapped into the intake manifold directly. I remember you were thinking about doing some sort of service. This was a long time ago!

We all know that in this day and age you have ALOT more money then Ford does at the moment. Maybe they have some left over plates they will sell ya for cheap, you know help bail them out.

We are considering a near "direct injection" for this due to my recent experiences.
MM and I made about 9 maps the other day and wasted a 10 lb bottle of N2o. And luckily not my engine.
But we made progress in determining some of the distinct characteristics of the larger shot. And some of the inherent characteristics of big shots on the AT model.
I'll find out the end results that have been made on the dyno tomorrow The car pulls a lot stronger now. and it was pretty strong before.
Before it made 172WHP in Socal during there Dyno Day. I hope to be above that now.
And I'm taking a spare manifold with me to the Dyno.
In case of DYNO'MITE. Oh I hope not.

Seriously, we are all on shoestring budgets but, the way I see it, if BHR can make it through the Obama Presidency we will be able to handle anything.

My guess on Easy's dyno pull tomorrow; 180-183 rwhp at peak and a gain of 5-6 lb./ft. of torque over previous nitrous pulls. Thatis, after taking into consideration the fact that we are comparing two different dyno types.

I must have at least 190 to beat Flashwing and his 6 port. I wouldn't be surprised if it's more.
