Like 09 said it's a touchpad. The LCD is a touch screen but I found it easier and safer to change songs on drives with this installed. All I have to do now is stretch my fingers

type59 - The rotary volume **** came from Petit racing. Give Cam a call and tell him you're a member here. He'll take care of you.
d_j - The wheels are Wed Sport TC005. I grabbed them from Tire Rack last year but I think they are discontinued now. They were around $400 a piece and only 17-18lbs.
For Six - I got the parts from various online retailers but I actually own a company now that specializes in CarPCs and components. The original thread with my first and second versions can be found here - https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ighlight=CarPC
lurch519 - LOL Yeah I upgraded the alternator but it failed and needs to go back. As long as I'm not sitting idle the stock alt with an extra batt does OK.
glassetcher - The mic would need to be seriously muffled to keep the audio from getting blown out. Maybe wrapping a small mic in some foam would do it. I'll definitely play with it in the future. THX
