I pulled into a new private golf course for the first time last eve and there was an open spot right near the clubhouse entrance. An older gent (well, older than me) watched for a spell and then came over to me as I was unloading my gear. He intimated he had a 'plum' colored car a lot of years ago and thought this was the best color he had seen since on a sportscar.
Yunno, it really is!

^ They're "new to me" (prior PoLaK's). See his parting-out thread.
One of the nice things about the RP03's is that they look gunmetal in low light and high contrast shine in full light. They change the look of the vehicle much the way the BCM paint does in varying light levels.

# 877 is as close as I can get... JM1FE34
Mine JM1FE38
#877 Last # 50
My Last # 49
And it is a SHINKA....
Im in Canada but this is still North America last time I checked (:
Are there more than 1357 ?
Thanks for any info on this one...

Finially, some hi-rez pics of clear corners on a Black Cherry. While I still think the orange corners look fine on the Black Cherry, those clear are looking sharp as well.
Sucks that the Strakes fade so fast...I need to replace mine as well.

^ I hate black wheels. There, I finally said it. I can see it if you're going for an overall batmobile look (replete with matte black paint), but otherwise I like some contrast. That said, in low light the silver RP03's are actually darker than I had thought, but they're growing on me.
#1132 myself; pretty close.
The OEM Mazda strakes are brushed aluminum iirc. Stainless steel might be too bright.

After a couple of question to Huey52 and his feedback..."Thanks Bud" as they say in Nova Scotia, I am still at a lose as to where my car fits into the list of 1357... Shinka's
Mine being the 6 speed manual now brings that number down to 844...
I have read up on the plant fire @ U1 which is where mine V.I.N tells me it was produced.
It took place Dec 15/04 . Car # 877 being the next # to mine was built Dec 15/04...Hummmm....
So starts the discussion on 1357 Shinka's as per the V.I.N production list for 05...
Mine is not on the list which I have gone over too many time's
Soooooo.... did they make 845 6 speeds?
Would like to hear back from anyone who may have a theory on exactly how many Shinka's for 05 are out there..... Why you ask!... For the fun of it... Thank's all
