Calling all Black Cherry Shinkas

Thanks and I love it! Use to drag myself in to work, but now can't wait to get in the car. Oh dear, is break-in 1,000 miles or kms? I just crossed 1,000 kms last night and figured she was all broken-in. Yes, it's a she and she has a name...

With my digital camera I always get a little less than the eye see's so you really want to take the pic when the effect is at it's extreme.
Anyway if anyone needs it the dealers can get you touchup paint for shinka, the dealer by me gave it too me free.
Somebody needs to make a cool patch for the shinka, I've got a mazda RX8 racing jacket but I want a shinka patch for it. :D

the black cherry really did come out fantastic in that pic.....I just noticed that youve got aeroflares, side and rear.....did that come that way from the factory or did you do it?

The aeroflares where on the 8 when I bought it but I have painted a MazdaSpeed spoiler (I used to paint cars for a living) that I am debating on installing. I like the look with out a spoiler and hate to drill holes in the deck lid.
When I bought this car I had the dealer do most everything (besides clear markers). I figured that way if I had trouble with anything they would have to fix it and I would get a loaner car
As far as the color showing up in the pictures: I have waxed the car with NXT wax. (I have not tried any other brands; it is what we used on a few show cars I painted). It does seem to help the color show in the sun, plus it also adds more depth to the paint.
I got some touch up paint from the deal when I bought my car. If they have trouble finding the paint, just ask them for the touch up paint for the Miata with the same color.
Thank you for all the complements on the pictures and car. I really love this car. :D
