That's exactly what I was looking for. How does it hold up with the engine bay heat? Also what can I expect for price and time, you can pm me if you want.

The fuse box and ecu covers are now over three years old, and are still perfect. The mainfold has only 4 months on it so far. I forgot to use a rubber gasket under one of the bolts, and that bolt dug ibnto the plating. But you cannot see it. Other than that, it looks awesome.

The covers were around $100 each, and the manifold was about $240.

Calling all engine bays!-0430131316.jpg

Had a little fun with some high heat paint a friend of mine had laying around.
The intake is a custom one I picked up from a local member here on Rx8club, 3.5" id similiar to the AEM/MS and has a K&N filter. Instead of bending into the lower grille the piping and filter sit in the passenger side of the front bumper cover. Matched it with some silicone intercooler couplers and wrapped it with DEI cool tape. Not the most subtle when I pop my hood, with crazy colors flying everywhere.

Is the top of the box off for the pic or does the hood make the top?.
That intake is made by AEM, thats just the tubing in the engine bay. The filter is actually outside of the engine bay behind the front bumper cover. Curious to see what you custom made, any pics!?

Awesome! The more unique the better, did you paint the rubbers on your intake?

Thanks man, and no paint on those. They're actually silicone couplers I found in 3.5" so I ordered a few.. purple was a random color I decided to choose.

sweatr, this is where the filter is located.

GK1707, do you have a link for your colored couplers? I need those!

Don't have an exact link, but I ordered em on eBay. Their actually silicone couplers for intercoolers. Just make sure you get 3.5".
