Does this color show swirl marks like regular black?
Is it hard to keep clean? |

Is it hard to keep clean? When I took possession of my RX-8 from the dealer, they had left swirl marks all over the entire car. I literally felt sick. I did some research, and found the Meguiar's stuff, and after two applications of the the NXT Gen stuff, the swirl marks were gone and have never come back. It also makes bug guts come off more easily than any other product I've used over the years and several cars. I swear by the stuff. |

Nope just got one of the more rare options....most people just have the black leather interior.
I have to say the Cosmo Red interior looks awesome with the black mica exterior. I really like that combo a lot!!!

That is the best factory interior combo IMO. The factory GPS is PIMP too.
I like the fact that Mazda decided to make the Cosmo Red a solid color on the seats, very similar to the Shinkas with their custom tan color. But I do love the red/black combo that came in some GTs. Conversely, solid red on those would not look as good - I think - as the red might be a little too intense. |
This is my black mica, called anubisblack here in Germany... - or just KURO.
Full leather interior. http://www.bortelsys.de/images/P1000293_k.JPG http://www.bortelsys.de/images/P6170281k.jpg http://www.bortelsys.de/images/P6160276k.jpg http://www.bortelsys.de/images/gauges/P1010284_k.jpg |
any more Sparkling Black Mica's?? I want to see all the R3 Black mica's out there!
|
R3s didn't come in Sparkling Black Mica, at least not in the 2009 model year when I was looking. It was a "normal" black without the gold metallic flakes.
|
forgot about the colors thread. anyways heres mine.

So the Kuro was only made in 2007 and marketed in Europe? I have never seen one here Stateside.
|
That's correct. KURO is only a europe model.
|
^ I would love to swap interiors with you in my BB! Where can I find this interior?

Never heard about the KURO brand before, until now. |

What is the story on the steering wheel? Was that part of the KURO package? Is it thicker than the normal RX8 wheel? Or did you just have it wrapped over the factory wheel seen as it only has two seams rather than the typical four? Either way looks very clean that way!
Here is another pic where you can see it better... http://www.bortelsys.de/images/gauges/P1010289_k.jpg |

How did you get that lucky!! I can't believe they offered the Cosmo Red interior on a model other than the 40th Anniversary Edition. And all this time I thought the Cosmo Red interior was exclusive to us owning the 40th AEs:dunno: Do you know of other Series II cars that came with the same interior as yours? I love Kuros so much. Special editions just kick ass. |
I have only seen the full red interior on an S2 in a picture. It must be pretty rare, as I have never seen one on the used car market, or maybe it's a Euro-option only??? Not sure, I would love to see some pics of the red interior in an S2 though.

My 09 Touring as she sits right now. Debating between R3 front bumper, or just a Knight Sports lip...will probably go with the R3 bumper, since it's already painted for about the same cost as the lip would cost to get here from Japan. Of course, I would be getting R3 sides as well. 18x9.5 +45 RPF1s will be a purchase in the next month or so :]. |

are you sure thats a touring? Pretty sure all tourings came with fog lights, i know mine did. i think you have a sport.
Every VIN-related listing, including the initial warranty work done at Mazda and the Carfax, say it's a Touring. I thought they came with fogs as well, but maybe my car was ordered without them? I'm not sure...somewhere along the line, it may have gotten into the system oddly. I thought it was a Sport, but whenever the VIN is put in, or it's checked at Mazda when I buy parts, it's labeled as a Touring. |

yeah thats weird, when i bought my 09 at an acura dealership they said it was a sport, my insurance said it was a grand touring and my vin came back as a touring :dunno:
fogs, dsc, cloth seats, no sunroof. I can't help but wonder why that is....maybe there's something weird about how VIN decoders view the S2s? |

Well, this was a well hidden thread. Guess nobody wants to show off their series II's? |
