I was looking at SSR Type C in bronze but these came up used with a good price tag.. so I ended up getting these instead.
I am really into bronze wheels for our color 8's and the next set of wheels will be bronze most likely... maybe one day we will both be riding on bronze wheels haha.
Anyway.. for now, enjoy your Enkeis. They look great in black~!

Not any up close, I baked open the housings and painted all the silver trim matte black, It actually pretty neat how it naturally tints the look of the lights without adding any cheesy films or tints.
Thanks, its all the little stuff that I try and concentrate on, most of the visual mods of my car people overlook or dont pic up on, and those that do really appreciate the attention to detail.
Its the AutoExe buckskin wrap.
Thats probably more expensive than the route Im taking, but Ill consider it, especially when the sunroof and roof and laying in my basement taking up space.

^^^ Took about 7 hours to hand stitch, luckily I had a spare wheel, that me and my friend could get at it at all angles without it being attatched to the car. I cant imagine trying to install it with the wheel already on the car, I know a few have done it though.
PS- Also painted the control panels gloss black to match the dash and door control panels.

^^^ The Thumb inserts come with the wrap, you then adhered them to the wheel and the pattern of the cloth locates them where they are supposed to be.

Do the thumb pads go right on top of the current leather steering wheel wrap? And have you noticed any movement of the thumb pads from underneath the wrap? Just wondering how they will hold up after hours of rigorous driving.
Just found further info on the wrap here.

Anyone know how this feels relative to real Alcantara material?

yes, double sided tape is provided. the directions indicate that you first "dry fit" the wrap onto the wheel, the pattern of the cloth helps locate the position of the thumb pads. Tape them on, and start having at the stitching.
the shape of the pattern(once sewn) along with the tape helps keep them in place, theres a little bit of play but its not going anywhere.
