Rear 265/35Z/R18s Front 225/40Z/R18s No spacers...just fat with rolled fenders and K-sport coil-overs dialed in stiff. But your right....I could lower a bit yet...might dial them in closer when brakes upgraded soon.
I like the look. Looks clean as glass. See what I did there....looks like your 265s are mounted on 10s and are pretty flush with the fender. Mine are mounted on 11s hence the negative offset. I like the appearance but our roads sure are hard on the suspension. That's why coils are dialed in tight and I didn't lower further to prevent the tires rubbing. They grip like a beast though. I may replace down the line but have some other plans first.
Haven’t posted on here in a while, so here’s my R3 and how it is now. The car was totaled at some point and the S1 rear was put on then. I swapped out the bumper for my other one with the OEM Mazdaspeed diffuser. The wheels are stock off of an Evo X and are 18X8.5 +38 and have 255/40R18 Nitto Motivo tires on them. Coilovers on the front are OEM Mazdaspeed/eibach multipro R1 and are set at max low. The rear eibach’s piston rods snapped on both shocks so I modified a pair of stock Bilsteins with threaded sleeves and added springs from the bilstein PSS9 kit (found the springs on eBay pretty cheap) and is a great and cheap alternative to the eibachs. Interior is pretty much bone stock with the exception of the Spirit R RX-8 Recaros (literally no different from R3 recaros besides the red leather instead of black - still a nice touch though). Everything else is just the usual bolt ons. AEM intake, d585 coils, BHR midpipe, Racing beat catback, oem mazdaspeed sway and stabilizer bars and some other random crap I’m either forgetting or not on the car yet.
Looks great Nate, way to bring back the car after the accident. I almost bought a ‘92 rx7 from Chi-town a few years ago but didn’t. Regret that decision.
My first RX and I love it. This is from the first day I got it. It had 32,600 miles it’s a 2004. It’s my daily and I drive 60 miles to work everyday and 40 miles of that is on canyon roads so it’s a fun drive everyday to and from work

I anyone is looking for beautiful chrome 20" rims without a single flaw these are for sale. 2 good tires 2 need replace. I am now a low profile guy wanting these at all. Got 18" factory oem ordered super small cracks in passenger dash. What a terrible design they did on that one.... Just so you know it is pretty on both sides....
Since I consider this alluring dancing hypnotizing water bubble a safety hazard I am designing a color matching mini wing for the front which will cause a little up force which will elevate the bubble into the air stream eliminating it hypnotizing effects...
I have a 2009 with Velocity Red Mica (it is metallic paint, which I think was an change in 2009 vs earlier years but not sure if this was offered in previous years).
Has anyone had a problem with the paint fading? I just had some bodywork done on a rear quarter and the paint shop is telling me that all the metal panels on the car are slightly different than the factory color and that the new paint won't match (which it doesn't). Now I have a rear quarter that is more red than the rest of the car, which has more a copper tone to it. Is paint fade a known issue? Anyone else experiencing it? The paint shop does not believe it is paint fade and believes someone painted the car at some point. I have owned the car for half its life and find it hard to believe someone would have painted it before i owned it to something so close to factory but not quite factory.
Mine was painted before I bought it so I'm no help lol. I haven't really seen an 8 with faded paint though I have seen some of the black ones peel. They should have matched it And not gone with factory color. That's what a body shop does. Try and get them to fix it cause I feel that's not right at all.

Mine's an 05 and the paint doesn't seem faded to me but then again I don't have a freshly painted panel to compare to. Try to see if maybe a one step polish might bring the "faded" panels back. I would polish a small area right next to the newly painted panel and see if it makes a difference.
I have an 04 GT VR and its faded. Previous owner had a few accidents so you can tell what was not hit yet. I m considering repainting the whole car Soul Red.
Mine is an 07 and the paint is like new condition. I wonder if the clear coat is having a chemical reaction and getting hazy on you. Mine was kept in the garage by previous owner and babied. 30K miles in 12 years... Still I think it is possibly a clear coat issue but that is just an uneducated guess.
To me it looks more like a mismatch on a repaint than fading.since you have different looking colors on panels. Keep in mind that color match on metallic paint is an art. Lots of factors temp humidity and even magnetic charge can make the metallic align differently and cause a color mismatch.
