It is very sturdy. Plate is mounted on an L-shape bracket with support on the back cut from solid strip of aluminum around 1/4 " thick. There is no chance that the plate would flip and hitting the bumper unless I really hit something hard and that would mean broken bumper too.

I haven't had any problem with the plate but I do like the way SpeedRX8er did that for Ronn.

Nice thing is it wouldn't block the Revi Ram air duct.

There are many products available that give the black plastic a very "chiney" look.
