Alrighty...
The tires are Federal SS595's (Well, they've dropped the "SS" from the name recently I guess)
Front: 235/40-18
Rear: 265/35-18
I stumbled across these tires about 5 years ago when I bought rims for my Celica. The owner of a performance shop recommended them to me and said they are a very good tire. I didn't really have a preference and I liked the look of them so I said sure, why not...
I ran a set on my Celica for 3 years before they needed to be replaced (Had my Celica lowered 3.5inches and never had an alignment done... They had sufficient wear in the insides because of the rear camber on the car... The rest of the tire still had pretty good tread-life left. I drove that car pretty hard and pushed it around alot of corners and not once did I ever have an issue with them breaking traction, and it was VERY rare for me to ever hear them screeching aswell.
I liked everything about them from the experience I had with them, so there wasn't even a question about replacing the old ones with a new set for my Celica again...
When it came time to buy tires for the RX8, these were the first ones to came to mind.
I can't really give my opinion of how they perform on the RX8 as I haven't driven it since the rim/tires install. (car is 1000kms away at the moment at my parents place) But, i'm guessing they will suit me just fine.
