I wasnt sure If I was going to keep the look..the paint shop is a friend's so it only cost me the paint which was nothing.
That plastidip is strong stuff, I have had my wrangler wheels painted for a long time now without any issues or peeling. As of now, I can keep them like this for as long as I want, and when I want to go back to silver I can spend an hour and peel it all off.

I may actually powdercoat them this color down the road

If I'm understanding this correctly, because you plasti dip your wheels first, you can just peel off the paint job? Even though they were painted and clear coated after?

a co worker of mine just plasti dipped his whole FJ cruiser, pretty funny..it took 15 cans ($75). Looks like a basic flat black paintjob

Plasti dip looks like **** up close, from a distance it looks cool. Kind of pointless on an off road rig too.

A lot of these car forums seem to be going crazy over it.. Im not a fan really, except that allows me to remove the paint if I'm looking for a change. It's good for small parts, I wouldn't do body panels or roofs/hoods like some people do though, I've seen it before and it looks pretty bad

Don't really post too many pics but what the heck... Here's a photo I took on the way home from work yesterday. I may post more next week from DGRR.

Washed the wheels recently, that's why there's a slight rust ring.
