Can the kit be uninstalled without any damage?
I doubt it to be honest. Between the glue and the activivator you have to apply it will probably do some damage in the long term.... although all the surfaces are different. so I might just be talking out of my a$$

definetly different, not to my liking but i give you props for trying to be different.i would have gone with black CF instead. Not sure if this has been asked (too lazy to look back) but where did you purchase them from and what company manufactures them?

I got it from New York City Dashes for $307 shipped. This was the biggest kit with 46 pieces. They have smaller kits (like just the console and steering) for much less.

the whole point of carbon fiber is to save weight.

applying stickers to 'look' like it's carbon fiber is sorta, well, lame.....

Oh yeah, and for you guys that have this mind set that going to carbon fiber everything is to save weight will accually make a differrance...... you really need to get a life. I am sorry but going to REAL carbon fiber dashes would not only cost you a arm, a leg, a left nut, and a finger, but what would you gain from doing that.... like a 2 pounds loss?

seriously 2 pounds will NOT make a differance when it comes to how fast your car is. besides, those bigger speakers you added just killed your Carbon fiber weight idea all to hell!

get a life people. it looks good. stop being so jeliouse. at least her interior is something to look at. I am not what so ever interested in looking at your stock boring, plain interior...... Iv'e seen it before!

Many people have commented that they would have chosen a black carbon fiber. There are a couple of kits out now for our cars, some our flat kits (like this one), and there are some that are molded kits. Molded kits are usually more expensive, come in very few color options, and have very few number of pieces. Think about the Mazdaspeed carbon fiber kit....what, does it come with, something like 4 or 6 peices. Not much if you want to make a significant change. And even though this is a mazdaspeed part, it doesn't save any weight.

We ordered several samples from NYC dash kits web site. We actually ordered it through Trims R US. I'll attach the web site a little later. The black carbon fiber is what I originally wanted, but when I saw it, it just was the exact same color as our dark grey interior peices. It made no sense to me to do that. I'm thinking of doing their "Black" kit, since it matches the Piano blak interior peices perfectly.

To answer some other questions, the peices are about 1/4 inch thick, and then have an additional 1/16th inch of 3m adhesive.

I can imagine that these will fall off in severe heat. I wouldn't recommend them for those in AZ or NM. The heat gets bad in Cali as well. I've had my rear view mirror on several vehicles fall off...and this is supposed to be a "permanente" bond.

I'm still waiting on some more color samples before I make my selection. I think I will be getting the smaller kit, in the 200 dollar range just to make a subtle change with the center console.

actually a stock dashboard is pretty heavy and a cf dashboard will save weight, but people that have cf dashboards also have completely stripped out interiors. I was thingking about getting the black cf kit, but without that many pieces.

Erika, that looks AWESOME!

When I saw the pictures of the kit, I wasn't too sure how it was going to turn out but it came out great.

Congrats on doing something totally original that will definitely stick out in a crowd.

Can't wait to see it in person...

Do you have a link to torasports--I'd like to check em out. If I did anything I'd probably do the black to match the piano black.

i think you're missing the point.

stuff like this is like putting a sticker of a ferrari on the side of your 8 so it looks like something it's not. it's obviously not REAL carbon fiber, just something that cheapens the look of something just for the sake of 'being different'.

and, i am in no way, as you put it "JELIOUSE"

agreed. I don't mind how the stock one looks right now either nice and polish. The cf stickers look fine everywhere else but the center console/climate control is a bit overdone and well... tacky. But hey I drive a yellow car what do I know?

I don't really like the CF either, but I think having the piano black in most of those places would be sweet. They're sending me a sample, so we'll see if they can match it.

i think the silver is overdoing it looks sooooooo shinny.. and some pieces are over doing it... like the cf pieces on the door.... like.. thats not needed at all or inside for cup holders.... i LOVE the cf in the seats tho.. very impressed by that..
