OK so I got a brake kit but the Rotors in the front are to tall and the brake line kit don't fit. So I ordered Sloted Rotors for the front and had to buy OEM Rotors for the front and dip into my ssx ca$h
.
The Sloted Rotors in the back are fine.
I Installed Hawk HP+ pads and now I have new brakes all around.
Only thing is the front brakes are squealing bad! and now I hear a clanking / nocking noise coming up front that sounds like ****.
So I made 2 video's for everyone to enjoy. This is me going to Taco Hell for lunch in my 04 AT RX-8.
Enjoy.

Well its got vids in it. Guess we could move it if we have to STL up to you.
Well I could not take the bolts off that where/are holding the calipers on. So I went to a shop and they installed everything for me with my help. Yup they let me in the shop with the teck.
But now after 2 days of driving and following the brake-in steps as stated on many sites I'm can't put my finger on why all the brake squeal and now the rattles! So I posted these's 2 vids for everyone to see and maybe someone will help out

Your brakes will always squeal. I have hawk HP's and they squeal like mad. Same with my buddies M3 and Cayman. It's the pad and is perfectly normal. I don't know what the knocking is, however.

The links to your videos don't work for me, however, mine squeal bad enough that people often look over at stoplights and give me dirty looks and smart *** kids have yelled that its time to get new brakes. They're definitely very loud.

yeah, the HP pads squeal really, really bad. I put brand new OEM shims and all in, and it helped a lot, but they still make enough noise, that as mentioned, people give you funny looks. I would not use HP+ for daily street use. Just too aggressive IMO. They are great on the track, but not on the street, they don't' get hot enough to be really effective, and are hard on rotors that way.
and +1 on the Racing brake rotors, I really like mine, but have Hawk Ceramic pads, zero noise, and almost no dust.

Momentum Keeps Me Going
The better the pad for track, the more they squeak. HP+ are Ok for track, not great, but anyway. Nevertheless it is possible to have NO brake squeal with a setup like yours.
My experience... I had HP+ pads on all fours, RB OEM size 2-piece rotors on front, OEM on back and I had virtually NO squeaking ... ever. Why/ Not really sure, but have been told keeping the brakes clean helps alot, removing all dirt and dust. And oh I used the teflon spacers and a reasonable amount of brake grease as described in the service manual on all surfaces.
So perhaps my cleaning habits are why? By cleaning I mean regular power washing the calipers, and when I've taken the wheels off, which was regularly, hand wipe and clean the caliper with degreaser and a rag. I like my red painted calipers...well to be red and shiny, no dust, no black gunk....
Unfortunately I've not escaped the 'dreaded' brake squeal, as after i removed the HP+s and installed my new, more agressive Colbalt friction pads ... now the brakes, clean or not squeak pretty good at parking lot speads or at stop lights. If anyone asks, I just tell them it's outfitted like a race car and race car brakes DO squeak!
Couldn't hear your other noise...good luck with that. Better to do the work yourself, then you have a chance of knowing what the problems are... were.
