Decided to take my 8 to a show
So yesterday morning I learned of a huge car show going on in my town. How I didn't know about it earlier is beyond me....? All makes were welcome and there was no cut off year so I decided to go.
This was my time ever taking a car to a show. It was pretty big; I'd say at least 300 cars, and possibly as many as 400. Of course it was 95% American Iron, but that's ok because that where my passion origionally lies. I was sandwiched between a Monte Carlo and a Corvette.
It was a fun day. There were lots of folks interested in the car. A few guys who were previously RX7 owners wanted to talk about the car. There was one really nice older couple; she had a '92 Miata and he had a '92 RX7, both cars had less than 20K miles. They were great. We stood there and BS'ed for a while.
Anyway, I took home a trophy, which I wasn't expecting, but I was happy about. They didn't really judge like a typical show would, i.e. by class, best paint, most unique, etc. The judges basically just picked the cars that were standouts for any given reason based on their criteria. Either way, I got one![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I opened the trunk and added a small display with a 2007 RX8 brochure, the window sticker, service records and a few other items. I forgot to take a picture though.

My car is stock. I'd say 50-60% of the cars there were modded to the moon. Many very serious restomods, etc. Nice is nice, modded or not. Like I said, my car, for whatever, reason stood out to the judges and they felt it deserved to place.
