You gotta admit, having your chin higher than the windshield was pretty funny.

HKS did make a kit for the 1.6, but I'm pretty sure FM did a better job.

Personally, I'd leave the car mostly stock with the exception of the turbo and a maxed-out suspension.
yes, suspension i will work on..

Nice NA. I used to have a black '94 a few years ago. Great car and I really still miss driving it.

We have done several of those conversions, we sell a kit that will allow you to bolt in S4/5 rx-7 turbo motor, trans, diff etc.

^ Go for it DEEDUB!

I was never HUGE on the Miata's although I have always liked them somewhat...

I certainly wouldn't have an issue with a Rotary Powered Miata in my driveway! *drools*

just get a begi s turbo system for under 2k with turbo upgrade Begi S system , that'll double ur whp basically..and then get the FM butterfly braces, Braces Page...
pick ur own suspension, wheel/tire combo and get a hard top....u have a "insert respectable performance car" beater for about 6.5K total

Freakin' awesoem! Funny my dad just caught the bug and bought one so now we can autocross together. Too bad his done already with wheels, tires, roll bar, big brake kit, stainless lines, coilovers and a motor from a newer Miata. Awesome find!

Ok, finally started modding the miata...found some used NA wheels on craigslist for $150.. They were in good shaped but showed a lot of scratches and minor curb rash. So I decided to paint them gunmetal before I mount the tires on. Let me know what you guys think..

They kinda remind me of the oldschool panasport wheels. BTW..they are light as hell!!

what did you spray them with, it looks pro.

and totally offtopic, how is the gas smell with your HKS dual cat, less than a regular midpipe?

Yeah, when they balance the tires they will pull of the weight....

Dub my experience with those wheel paints are that they flake off real easy.. suggest you just send them to get powder coated and cleared...Dont waste time with mounting them and than realize the paints no good so you would have to pull off the tires etc to powder coat them,

yes I'm aware of the weight, I will spot spray it when they come on. I've used this wheel paint before on other cars and this stuff doesn't flake easy.I painted a friends integra rims 2 years ago and they still have not flaked.

Anyway, going to get them mounted in a few hours. Pix will be up tonight.

I like them Debub, I cant wait to see what they look like on the car.

you should see my car, it does not look the same anymore. (graphics) I will post pictures in a couple weeks after the first race. check my miata.net thread for updates.

I look forward to seeing what you do to your car.
