Wow....I LOVE that new color, if my paint ever dies on me...that's the one for me, just great!

 

Really!!! I disagree....that color is boring. The Black Cherry was a rich looking color deserving of a special edition package. It is a color that you just don't see on any other car. I can not tell you how many times people ask me what color my car is....at the gas stations, in parking lots, at stop lights. This new color just looks like every other Dark Red seen on many different makes and models. It is not going to have the appeal as the 2005 Shinka IMO.

 

Yup bascho, I get that all the time with my Winning Blue RX-8. I was going in to eat and this lady comes out of this shop next door to tell me; "I have seen your car here befor and I just love that color!" I was like thanks

 

The Winning Blue is definitely a head turner. There is a guy that I see in the afternoon commute almost everyday that drives a WB. Several times we have been side-by-side and just check out each other's cars. No offense to the VR's or Silvers....but I see those colors all the time and they just don't get the same response. Personally I think the best colors have been the Black Cherry, Winning Blue and Yellow. the rest of the colors are pretty common......but still nice on the 8.

The Shinka (2005) Black Cherry Mica is absolutely gorgeous..... BUT... it sucks to try to keep scratch-free and swirl free... it's insane. I've had mine for 6 months, wash it relisiously and find new scratches/paint chips almost every day - so painful....

I'd never trade my Black Cherry Mica for any other paint out there... no offense to the other 8's guys.

 

I like it! I was thinking it would be more orange, but it's not. Very nice.
