D962R Turbo
That video of the Porsche was pre-turbo. There is NOTHING on the track that has been able to pull us since we installed the first turbo in August. Think of it this way; the D962R Turbo, without fuel or driver, weighs in at 1450 lbs., and generates 437 bhp. That is 3.32 lbs/hp, which is better than the Porsche RS Spyder LMP racer.
Yes, Cam at Pettit Racing helped us tremendously with the wiring, plumbing, and ecu programming. We previously were testing the RX-8 with another not-to-be-named engine builder, with much frustration and little success. Along the way, he crafted an awesome new design for the dry-sump system, not pulling the oil from the front covers as everyone else seems to do.
In addition, he continues to lend a hand and lets us use the dyno at will (weekends, evenings, whenever), without which we wouldn't have the rocket that we do.
However, when I was over at his shop yesterday, I did get a peek at his supercharger kits. If I had a street RX-8- it would be in my car, without a doubt.
As far as the injectors go, email me at chris@diasio.com for more info.
