Painting the emblems to match the car is definitely the way to go without having to shell out $$$ for a debadging job.

I like the way that looks on the back, and I've got the 3rd brake light decal as well.

Around $40 for all 3. The "MAZDA" emblem has no glue on it - so I really didn't need to order that one. (easy to break a post on removal though)

Reordering is much better than trying to re-apply 3M tape.

Looks interesting, now a front rotary accent wold really shine and form a nice rotary triangle together with the two in the seats.

Can you just buy the Mazda color specific touch up paint, remove emblems, paint em and stick em back on? I dig the look of body colored emblems with the RX-8 brake light mod!

Looks sweet. So how exactly did you do it? Did you sand them down first and what paint did you use? I may want to do this to my car...

I sanded them to rough them up. Then painted with a hi gloss paint.
If I were to do it again I would have primered and then used a clear coat. Especially on the front one due to rock chips. Mine are fine and it has been about 2 weeks (1,500+ miles) I don't see them lasting very long. Waiting for some colored or even carbon fiber emblems........Parker :D
