Finally painted my rotor hubs … I hope.
OK, I’ve tried to do this on three different occasions prior to this effort. First time I sanded down the hubs and used silver caliper paint on them. It all “gooped” at the bottom portion. Either bad coats or surface didn’t allow the paint to adhere. No matter, I went on to try spraying them a few weeks later. So I sanded them down and got the front rotors removed with some help from board members. Got them spray painted with a high temp paint in silver. Looked great. Let them sit for 12 hours. When I cleaned the non-painted portion with a brake cleaner, ripped the paint right off. So I decided to try again. This time I started with the rears and planned on not using the brake cleaner. But I couldn’t figure out how to remove the rear rotor. So I decided fate was against me doing this mod and gave up.
Over time, the rust build up on my hubs had grown very bad. I assume I had removed some protective coating of some kind from my sanding. In any case, I decided I would try this yet again. The one thing I had noticed in my previous attempts was that I really liked the way the hubs looked after sanding. So this time I found a clear high temp engine paint. I really like the way it came out. Plus the clear coating really brings a shine. I like the fact that they no longer draw the attention of anyone looking at the wheels. In any case, I just hope it holds up!

I painted my calipers and rotor hubs silver(duplicolor kit). They look pretty good IMO and are unique for the winning blue. Much better than the stock ones!!
I'll post pics when I get back from my research.

By the way, some rust has retunred, but not enough to worry about ... yet. Also, anyone else notice their wheel weights rusting! You can even see it in these pics. Sheesh!
