First attempt at HDR pics...
Here are pictures i took with my new canon powershot S3. i didnt have a tripod with me so i just set the camera down on the floor and on ledges to take these pics.
Anyways, it was my first real attempt at night shots and HDR shots, so here are the results. i have many more pictures that are non-hdr but ill post them up later today. for now, here are the HDR pictures i made.
comments and suggestions are welcome =)

i love the sky in the last pic
to me, headlights on is kind of distracting, parking lights would probably me okay though.
composition of the first 2 isnt that interesting.
angle is a bit extreme in the last one

love the colors on the last pic but the angle is a bit too extreme.

thanks for the comments
i took three shots for each photo. settings i forgot...i had the camera on manual though and was trying to get the pictures so that the exposure was -2. 0, and 2.
i agree the headlights are pretty distracting, so bright! i need a tripod really bad haha.
oh and lesper, HDR stands for high dynamic range.
again, thanks for the comments =)

The third one is definitely the best, although I'd be curious to see what it would look like if you adjusted the white balance on the more-exposed parts (the car and road) to match the white balance of the sky. I'm not a huge fan of the green tint mixed with the sky -- it would work well for a parking garage or something though.

that 2nd pick that color on the car looks tyte, that would be a sweet new color for the 8 and my favorite pic is the 3rd one, the sky looks amazing, you basically have every color possible in that pic lol

Third pic is awesome. Very nice work!
I carry a mini tripod (8" tall) everywhere. (I actually have it in a pocket in my backpack) I think it cost me around $20 at a camera shop. It's perfect for ground shots or setting up on a ledge or top of another car. Not bulky like a full sized tripod. (Which I also have too, but use less frequently.)
You should check into getting one. Way worth the money.

any camera that will let you change the exposure settings, wb, and bracketing can take hdr photos.. you just need a tripod and take around 3-6 pictures at different settings.. these pictures would look even better if he took more pictures and if he played with the tone mapping a little more.. but it looks good regardless
