first time out to the track with rx8
A few laps of mallala (south australia) in my rx8
Was a general practice day, so not supposed to "race",overtake on corners or forced over takes, ie dives under brakes...
RB intake,RotaFlo muffler,no cat...rubbish chinese rubber
We have hired the track for a private track day next week...
now have some good tires and project Mu pads so hopefully will help improve the times...

Good old Mallala, I remember going there when it was a dirt circuit.
Used to work @ AIR with Glen Dix (and Sporting Car Club of SA),,, what a legend this guy is and a total gentleman, NO ONE in the world can flag wave like Glen...an organizational mind like a PC too.

Nice Vid too!...a couple of great catches when chasing that GT!...what brand tyres are you using?

rev it up
Thanks for sharing. Great track with lots of tight turns which is suited to the RX8. The R3 has a better suspension which is great on a track such as this.
Keep at it and your lap times will improve over time. Later you can look into suspension and tyre upgrades.

Glen Dix is a legend! Can't help but try and impersonate him when ever i have a flag in my hand lol
Was using rubbish Chinese tyres that were still on the car after purchase...
It's a 2004 manual...model? Aussie series 1? LoL not sure mate,I might have to REsearch that
It has full leather,Bose stereo HID's etc,but I thought they pretty much all got this?
I have seen cloth seats up for sale but assumed they were from a JDM pov pack?
I will get a video up from last time out at malalla...better tyres and a bit smoother
Times have dropped a few seconds as well...so happy considering no SuS upgrades yet.
Have MS struts, springs and sway bars REady to be fitted next time I'm home....
