I would think DSC/TSC, like in real life, would make your launches ****, bogging everything down. Turn that stuff off and just hold the throttle somehwere. For the 8, I dump at 7K, for my Gt3, 5K, depends on the car really. Never raced with aids on, but I get decent launches, just be sure to use all your gear, don't shift out of first just becasue you're bouncing off the limiter.

You turn the ABS off even? I can't even get around the course like that.
For really high-powered cars, I sometimes turn TCS on, but it doesn't seem to effect my launches/lap times really at all. Maybe you're just using an under powered car compared to the competition? I know the RX8 gets smoked by a lot of other cars in its class (even when tuned up).

This crazy acceleration thing happened to me even when we were all in Saleen S7s. All stock. The guys behind me dang near rammed me.
I'll try turning off TC and feather the throttle. I dunno about going manual... my brain/fingers can only do so much at once, lol.
And yea, it's kinda sad: I can't turn very good times (for me) with an RX-8. I've even done laps in a Civic Type-R that I can't get near with the 8. The 8 can't seem to put down any power around/exiting corners compared to other cars. I do LOVE it brakes though

mine is "sirchickenheart"....just spent 2 hours making an 8 into a "Renown" 8....just don't have the right decals...so just the paint scheme and number plates, along with the gold wheels. I think I did a pretty good job, just don't have any shots of the rear so I didn't know how to finish it off....so I just left it orange.
Do you guys just race with 8's, or others as well? I have about 7 or 8 8's, all made up differently to handle different classes. None of them are tuned though.
