Very nice.
My car is below. It's almost the same except for the no wing/different exhaust/no leather.... but turbo'd .
That does look like Cortc's old car. Did you purchase it in Florida?

mikelikes- the strakes are growing on me..i think i'm gonna keep em, new wheels are on the way, and the xhaust is mazdaspeed but i do agree the tips are smallish

halo-that cort guy still owes me some parts and paperwork that he promised to fedex me prior to the sale of the car...it has been several months and he has not returned any of my calls after I paid him for the car... a quick search on this board and I see other people also had problems dealing with him after giving him $. I am very lucky to have gotten the car in such excellent shape though. So I do appreciate that...but as for giving him props or doing business with him again? Never.

-Arthur Exchange is a wheel company under Rays Wheels ..Volk Racing is also under the Rays Wheels umbrella. I've been rolling Volks and Racing Harts on my past 3 cars so I decided to change it up and get something a bit more exclusive.

silvere8-You can find thousands of better ways to make a profit or a living rather than buying/building modded cars. My advice is just hook the cars up (or buy em hooked up as in the case of this 8) to enjoy em. As far as how much $ I spent? I'm just a small fish, brother. I make sure not to go overboard...the amount of $$ I spent is probably a fraction of some of these guys who play with Ferraris/ Lambos/ etc.

-adrian, great looking car man! I would love to go forced induction but....I like how my car still has the stock warranty intact. (yes i'm a wussie nowadays..lol) And yeah, I bought the car in Fl. I reside in Orlando.

another pic

Or how to do it well in Photoshop. There is a good adjustment of levels and green, red and blue areas on that one above.

Good pics. Lovely car. Loves the wheels.

(me going to clean my car now)

-G35 coupe:
Not as sporty as the others...feels heavier and more substantial. But if you treat it as a cruiser, it is quite rewarding. Torque definitely feels more definitive than the other cars. And the biggest plus is the dealer support. My Infiniti dealer was head and shoulders above the rest. They treat you like they depend on your business. For oil changes and maintenance, they even send porters to pick up my car from my office and dropped it back off before 5pm so that I did not have to waste any of my time waiting for service. This is a huge advantage for me. As for the price, it is not that much more expensive than a 350z but yet the general public thinks it costs much more.

-Evo
This is a driver's car. If you are not a pro driver or a very good amateur driver, this car is better than you and it'll get you in loads of trouble- in other words, you are the weakest link, not the car. This is also one of those rare cars like the supra tt (turbo cars) where every mod you installed, you instantly felt a difference. For example, if you put a $700 exhaust on the rx8, your butt dyno may not feel anything...but if you put a $200 boost controller on the evo, oh yeah! For Less than $3000, you can raise the eyebrows of ferrari's, lambo's, z06's, practically anything that you encounter on the road. Dollar for dollar, this is the most responsive, agile, mod-friendly car that i've ever owned.

-MR2
I bought it for less than $7500 and put $8000 in mods and the car turned more heads and garnered more compliments than when I take out our $70k Mercedes cls500. Great car. Mine had a jdm gen 2 MR2 Turbo engine swap and drove in mint condition but even still, it shows it's age. After driving the evo, or even the 8, the MR2 turbo feels old and sluggish. But keep in mind those other cars cost 3 - 4 times as much and over a decade newer. Emotionally speaking, this is my fave car of all time (I've had 6 mr2's already) It just reminds me so much of when I was seriously competing in car shows and events.

-RX8
I'm not feeling how a stock rx8 looks, but with the mazdaspeed body kit and the right drop and wheels--I feel it is drop dead gorgeous...better looking and more road presence than some cars costing 3 times as much.
I have a 6 month old so the usable back seats for the baby seat is a huge plus. And the interior is nicer and more refined than some of my other previous cars costing much more. Handling with the mazdaspeed suspension comes very close to giving you that surgical knife precision-feel like my Evo and the 8 does not feel as heavy as the G35. All in all, fit and finish is very good and I have to say it is an awesome car. If you are into stoplight to stoplight drag racing, look elsewhere but if you've been there and done that--matured and grown out of street racing and highway racing or stats bragging, the rx8 is a very rewarding car.

wow, great summary of your "mistresses," thanks!

Also, I checked out Jadecrew.com, very cool site. I actually recognize Harrison Schultz's car from Import Tuner, sick widebody RX-7. And your prez's NSX? it's out of this world; it looks like it belongs on the All Japan Grand Touring Circuit.

I agree with what you said about not worrying about the money aspect while building/modding cars; hey, it's about passion and love. I am located in Detroit, and you get to see what "passion" really means; people spending thousands of dollars and hours fixing up their old Mustangs, Cameros, even Probes (well, not nearly as many Probes as Stangs) with no intention of selling their cars. However, you are very lucky to have driven so many fine automobiles, and most of us are very jealous.

By the way, you are a good writer! I read all the bio's you wrote, very interesting stuff.

I just wanted to know if the owner thought about it. If not, as a fellow MS kit RX-8 driver I have no problem with it.

Yeah, I got an emblem on mine too cuz I think without it, it just looks like a replica bodykit. At least by adding the emblem, it gives more substance to the bumper. IMO of course. I'm also thinking of getting rid the "MAZDA" word emblem in the back for a more cleaner look.
