Where did you order these from? Also, any rubbing issues?

Rims look fantastic! Some of the best looking rims on the RX8 I have seen.

thanks! No rubbing at all- I'm on the MS suspension so its dropped just under an inch. Fronts def clear, rears are closer than fronts, but no rubbing.

I ordered from Vivid Racing. Ive heard various things from them, but they were good to me. Took exactly 100 days to get them.

kickass rims

the tires do look a bit too narrow. I like the sidewalls to be vertical.

Edit: You sure they are 8.5" wide? Because at 8.5" the tire should be close to the same width as the rim. It looks like your rims are wider.

yeah, they are def 8.5 wide. The reason the rims look wider is because the style of the rim- there is a subtle 'outer' lip that is outside of the section the tire mounts. Its not because the tire is stretched too far.

EDIT:: HERE's a close pic. notice where the tire mounts. the rim then 'dips a bit' and has another subtle lip just under the area where the tire mounts.

If you look at pics of the FEED Rx8 from the 06 Tokyo salon, (the only other 8 with the T5s I know of with pics) it has the same thing. I have the pics on my home computer, of those and can show you a later....at any rate. At first i thought they had stretched the tire out of that show car for looks but, when I got my rims i noticed its kind of has an extra outward lip.

Nevermind, saw you are using MS suspension. How does the overall handling feel compared to stock rims and suspension??

I'm not even looking at the rim - the tire side itself is not vertical. Right?

19" rim just means you have a smaller tires... In fact the 245/35/19 tire is about 0.8% smaller than OEM.

I only metion the rim, cause it creates an illusion that the tire is more stretched I think. If you look at the rim, where the tire meets it, its vertical from there. But the style of the rim has a subtle outer lip just below where the tire mounts. Since it protrudes, they eyes can focus on that, and sure, the tire looks a bit less vertical from that vantage point. But regardless, its an 8.5 inch rim and there's no point debating it.

I dont like the streched look either and my and the only other tire I could go with mated to an 8.5 inch rim is the 255 series tire.

255s would given me more vertical sidewalls, and gotte me .2 percent of OEM in terms of rolling radius. But I wanted the quicker response of the 245s, and also, at least for the PS2S, I saved 2lbs per tire, per wheel by going w/245s.

Also, with my offset, i wanted to make sure i didnt rub, so that led me to 245s.

Great looking rims. The Advans are definitely stylish. Are you thinking of putting anything on the sides (MS sides or OEM)?

thanks- i've considered the MS side skirts. wavering back and forth. I'm not a huge fan of the oem side skirts that come with the appearnce package. I like keeping it as clean as possible, but with the bigger rims, i'm teetering on something to 'balance it out'.

i should probably just 'balance out' the checkbook though
