Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is basically a glorified demo. It's obviously more than just a demo, with 6 tracks and 70 cars or so - but it is far from the complete game, which I believe will have 40 tracks and 900 cars.

I suspect once the full version comes (Q4 of this year...?), there will be more customization, similar to how it was in the previous installments in the GT series.

You can increase hp within a range though.

My rx7 makes 400 hp. My tuned Z06 makes 700 hp.

Well after my second Xbox 360 broke, I went and bought a PS3. I was amazed by the quality of the System, it makes the Xbox 360 look like some kids rigged up PC. The PS3 is a nice quality product. It's quiet, sleek, and doesn't get hot. I had problem after problem with my Xbox's, will never buy any game system from Microsoft again.

Well I bought GT5P, I like it and am trying to get past the A class races. I'm using a Z06 for the American races and can't seem to beat one of them. The car is a POS, it wants to get sideways every time you feather the gas. I can't wait for the full release, I really want to tune these cars, that's the fun part of the GT series!

I used the Ford GT and easily beat most tracks due to it's torque, even though it turns like a boat sometimes.

I'm debating if I should get the Logitec GT steering wheel.. it's $110 from buy.com

I can't believe how quiet/smooth/refined the PS3 is compared to the X360. It's like a Benz compared to a Neon as far as looks/noise/menu formats/disc insertion.

LOL, I experienced this same thing last night. I would get 4 of 5 laps then loose it on the last lap on both race 1 and 2 of the American races. I use Professional with no assists but after the 6th or 7th attempt, I buckled and turned the ASM on but it did little to help the Zo6 from oversteering at 180+ on the banked corners just enough to lose several places. It's funny how you drive your *** off in the Zo6 in these races and when you make your way up to the front there is a Mustang GT sitting in 3rd or 4th place. That's one hell of a driver driving the Mustang as he easily out drives the much faster Zo6 that I'm in.

I plan on getting the Ford GT for the American races to get first...

The physics are so spectacular/advanced in this game with plenty of feather-light adjustments needed on the controls to perfect your lap times. I originally planned to wait for the full game to get the wheel but I kind of want it now to see how it will perform.

yah i know what you mean. This past weekend, i tried hard to find GTA 4 for the ps3 to rent, but no luck. so since i also own a 360 i ended up renting the 360 version. I soon reliazed why i never use my 360 any more (last time i used it was back in NOv due to mass effect) the fan is so freaking loud.

I've got the JDM version. I was hoping to get it even before the USDM version came out. I got it way after the USDM came out, sucks. It's an awesome game, but yeah, as you would expect I can't read Japanese, lol! I clicked on a button and accidentally sold my car that I needed. I heard there's a little more in the USDM version than in the JDM version, like drifting. I might get the USDM one when I get that tax stimulus refund.

alfy28, which car did you use to beat the S-1 event in professional mode? I can get gold easily using standard physics but in professional mode, I can only manage fifth place using a Tuned Evo X.
