Grog's WWP

Had my spacers and tires thrown on last weekend, and I think it's safe to say that I'm done putting money into wheels for a (hopefully) long, long time. I'm pretty pleased with the end result, but I'd like to know what you guys think of it!

It's extremely difficult to make the wheels perfectly visible in photo; I messed around the the contrast/brightness/etc settings in Photoshop and I wasn't having any luck. I had to have a friend help out to get the last picture to show the wheel clearly. And no, it's not difficult to see them in person.

Dropped on S-Techs (Stock shocks), wheels are +31 all around with help from 10mm spacers.

Personally not a fan of black wheels on WWP. The wheels/tires/pavement all blend together and rather than the wheels becoming an accent, they aren't anything at all.

But, to each his own. If we all at the same opinion as everyone else, we would all be driving mustangs

Glad to see you are stilling taking care of it

My advice to you when you were looking to join made it into my newbie thread, a large chunk of the basis actually. Looks like you are proving out our suspicions that we had at the time

Looks pretty good. I'm with RIWWP. I think it would look really good with a chrome lip though. But good work man.

I know, and it's really annoying because it gives people the impression that it's just as hard to see in person. I'm using a pretty basic digital camera so that probably doesn't help much either.

I have a friend with a pretty nice looking Integra that wants to take some photos of his car with mine. Dunno when we'll get around to it, but I'll bump this thread with the pics when it happens. He's got a much nicer camera so hopefully it'll do my wheels more justice!

Thanks! They are TE-37 replicas (Matte Black; zero gloss) made by a replica wheel manufacturer called "Varrstoen".

you just need to find better lighting. its hard to get matte black when its overcast, especially when you are trying to contrast on such a light color

^^ 18's

looking good. i also don't prefer white on black, but overall i like what you've done. i agree that smoked lenses, etc., will help get the full effect.

take a further away pic. the 'flushness' looks great.

Yes they are! I'm surprised you could tell with them being so dark in the photos...

Sounds good, man. Towson's not too long of a drive from here, maybe 40 minutes tops.

Thanks! What do you mean by "smoked lines"? I definitely plan on adding more black to my car in the future (Seibon TS hood by this fall/winter, hopefully), but I can't really think of much else to add other than a hood and a trunk. I've been thinking of blacking out my tail lights. I've seen it look terrific rarely, and look terrible most of the time, so I dunno.

I'll try to take a couple of pictures later tonight or tomorrow to show the "flushness" some more. I dunno why I didn't go out of my way to show it in the pictures I provided.

They're a very, very smooth ride. Not very loud, either. They're a pretty big step up from the crappy Dunlops that the car came with.

Grip/handling wise, they're supposed to be great, but I haven't really tested; mainly because I don't know how to. I can't really find a large enough empty parking lot to find when they break loose, but I drive like an ******* when I'm commuting and I make lots of sharp turns, and I definitely feel more confident making those turns with the Hankooks.

Also, it's getting ready to rain over here so I thought I'd take advantage of the cloudy weather and take some more pictures. I'll update the first post later tonight and get rid of some of those pictures to replace them with ones that show the wheels clearly!

Thats good i hear the V12's are awesome in the rain too...you should black out your lights and emblems, i smoked out my tails, painted my emblems and got some stealth sidemarkers and it makes a huge difference in the look of the car specially with your black wheels, it looks good as is too but it would just add that finishing touch...and is a relatively cheap mod.
