when i brought the car to the shop and the put some lights on it they found over 200 dents total - ugh - the paintless dent repair guy can't do it all so it also had to go to the body shop after - total bill about 4,000 but it's covered by insurance w/ only a 100 dollar deductible...whew.

dang, just a week? mine took like 2 months lol Hope they do a good job, scrutinize the shizzle out of it when you go to pick it up, even bring someone with you if you can. Don't let getting it back cloud your judegement like what happned to me 2 years ago. Hopefully where you took it wasn't flooded with claims like the place mine went to and they do the work correctly instead of rushing it out the door.

ok guys I need some advice...
I have no pics yet - went back to the body shop...let me give you some info:
the shop is a big collision center owned by Lancaster toyota mazda and it is huge and busy and was a shop that my insurance deals with so i expected a good job.
I got to my car and the dents are gone - it looks GREAT! - but...there are some problems...there was primer on the front windshield - they cleaned it off when i complained but how sloppy can you be? There was excess material on the edge of the door but they cleaned that up too. But before I even did anything I noticed the mileage - they drove the car 5 miles. Now I think that is pretty excessive considering there was no need to test drive it for dents - the dentless repair shop is on the same road less than an 8th of a mile away - so I look more closely and there are several rock chips in the front bumper and hood that are new. I couldn't believe it - some *** took it out and chipped it up. I have pics from right before that show they weren't there. Also I just bought the car 3 weeks ago so I admire it every day and I would definitely have noted them before. The manager was standoffish right away - when i questioned the mileage he said that's not right let's go look up the mileage at check in - when he got out the paper work - I was right. Then he said "Oh I know - these cars have to warm up we can't just take it and move it." I agreed but questioned the need to drive it versus just letting it idle to warm up...he didn't really have an answer. So I complained to my insurance company and they will send out somebody this week to look at the car and settle the issue with the shop. I've had body work done a few years back on a different car and it was perfect and professional. They even gave me a bottle of touch up paint. This "big" shop was sloppy - primer on the windshield, etc. I am furious...and i'm not letting this blow over...I take care not to be behind trucks on the highway and I know you can't prevent all but these were not there before. The manager said these are old there is rust in them - first of all there is no rust and second of all the one that is in the front PLASTIC bumper looks exactly the same - so it's rusting too?
Any advice?
