Thanks for sharing that bit of information. So here's the big question: is the infamous Helix sound the same as the Mazdaspeed Dual Muffler Sport Exhaust (GRMS-8M-K06) sound? I've listened to the MS Dual exhaust clips on the net, and although the recording method isn't quite the same, it does make me think, "That sounds like my Helix".

If someone around Waukegan IL has a Mazdaspeed Dual exhaust I'd like to meet up for a quick comparison. I do not have my recording setup with me, but still a side-by-side comparison would do good.

I have heard the MS exhaust, and to me it sounds nothing like the Helix clips posted. It is nothing like it to my ears. The MS sounds good, but that Helix sounds freakin bad ***. Sounds more like deedubb's HKS single outlet than anything to me.

hmmm, I really like this exhaust sound. I was comparing it to the RE Amemiya Super Dolphin exhaust sound - and I think the Super Dolphin sound...well, boring. I mean, it sounds raw, but the Helix sounds crisp. I like the Helix.

comparable to RB exhaust?

just curious, is this anywhere near the RB exhaust sound? I'm thinking of getting the RB, any input would be nice.

no. not at all. The RB unit is a much quieter, much more subtle sound. Do a search, there are plenty of sound clips of most of the exhaust systems available, especially the RB.

You guys gotta understand though that different speakers will reproduce sound slightly differently. So to one it may sound more like an MS exhaust while to another it sounds like something else
