Brother, interesting rims. What are they? But seriously, the wing is too much. If you had a body kit and such, then may go with it but on a stock 8, it's out of place.

Like the hood and I'd probably go with some black wheels (love the black wheels)...I'm going to have to hop on the bandwagon and say I'm not a fan of the wing...might look alright with a kit if you kept it real low to the trunk, but right now it's too high and looks kind of park-benchy.

appreciate the input... I am wanting the f&f look... the wheels are the oem 16's... should have got the 18's... but the dealer was trying to poke me another $2000+ so I opted for these, and thought I was better off going aftermarket anyway...

I am so glad auto RX-8s in Canada have the same 18 inch wheels as the 6 speed. Congrats on your car...but like the others here, I am not feeling that huge wing.

I would say it needs a bodykit to flow with the car better

the wing is throwing it off

I take it being subtle isn't exactly you're cup of tea. If F&F is what you strive for, wheels IMHO would have been a better place to start.

You finish her up Pilot, she'll look good. At least the carbon fiber goes with the color unlike others I've seen. Throw on a nice bodykit and the wing won't dominate the car, and she'll look badass...

man... talk about a lot of haters... appreciate the responses though, the car is far from done... wheels, and a body kit, either carbon creation carbon kit, or a veilside... and wheel choice is still up in the air... That's the cool thing though it IS my car, and I really like it so far... I know GT wings are frowned on here, but I guess none of you read Modified Mag, or any of the others... don't worry though, when she is completed you might all understand my vision a little better... if not, I promise not to lose sleep over it...

I'm amazed at the difference that 18" or 17" wheels with lower profile rubber make.

You got the 16' inch wheels which come with smaller brakes and you get a big wing??? It's an automatic, correct?

if u wanted the fast and furious look u shouldve just opted for an EVO or STi? or are u afraid of a manual car? ::shrugs:: i read modified mag and a follower of import mags and racing drifting etc, but my frnd that wing... makes me speachless. plz tell me that wing is functional?? plz? cuz those carbon fiber hood and b-pillars are not. with the 2 or 3 pounds u lost on the hood u probably gained with those b-pillars and the burrito u had for lunch. but seriously good luck. ur the first ive ever met who's shooting for that f&f look and its awesome u can admit that. rock on buddy

I am not afraid of manual... just opted for auto... the wing IS believe or not functional... and I bought the carbon hood for looks... not concered on the weight savings... I don't eat burritos, and I don't see why I get the wise a$$ remarks... I can take the hating, but damn... oh by the way the pillars dont even weigh a pound, and I installed them to tie in the other carbon... thats all...

no worries man. to each their own...i personally find the 8 to be most attractive with the appearance package and no wing. i used to be a fan of the aftermarket look, and still am to a certain extent depending on the car...like the supra for instance, or the rx7. just because we have a more conservative crowd here doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy modifying your car the way you want to. Granted, I think your wing is a bit much, but then again it's not mine. Do what you like, and keep posting pictures with progress on how it's coming.

appreciate the comments velo... I don't expect everyone's excitement and approval to be like mine, but to be obnoxious and rude... some people on here really need to chill out... or get laid at least
