Don't you want to come to Road Atlanta and bronze them up a bit?

I have had the HKS on my 8 for well over 6months and yes, it is definitely worth the money you pay for it.

I haven't heard another 8 exhaust which is as distinct aurally.
I'm sure epitrochoid will definitely agree on this one and will really be impressed after he has put some more mileage on and opened it up.

cool story...I was driving from Orlando to my parents house in Clearwater yesterday and I saw a yellow 360 modena about a mile ahead on the howard franklin (long bridge over tampa bay) i tore off after him, and when I got closer I noticed he was battling a tricked out viper through traffic. i snapped a few pics on my cell phone and gave the ferrari driver a thumbs up. he returned the favor and then pulled up about a car length and motioned for me to punch it. we both went hard on the gas driving through crazy traffic. he made a pass in the right emergency lane and then saluted with a nice ferrari rev while him and the viper exited. i got off the interstate and stopped by my buddy's office to show him my exhaust, and I noticed that I had completely burnt out all the black soot in the tips from driving so hard just before. a bunch of girls in a corrola were waving at me too...it was leet

last night I swapped cars with my friend, so i could hear my exhaust from outside. damn...i busted a nut right there. i really sounds like a rabid bat at WOT. and the tips are already bronzed a little. i heart HKS!!

ps - sorry bout the lame pics...cell phone camera + 90mph = crap

Man, I love seeing Ferrari's in the wild. Once I was in the 8 cruising down the I-15 at about 75-80 mph when all of a sudden an F40 zooms past me at about 130-140 mph. I almost lost it right there, when I got home my pants were wet...I guess I did lose it!

The sounds that emit from those machines are truly one of a kind. Distinctly Ferrari.

I have a clip of the hks exhaust sounds sweet, not sure worth all the cash imo. At least it's something different. Question though, about the tips bronzing that happens to greddys exhaust too right? Just my opinion why do you want tips to have a brownish tint to it? doesn't look that clean, just my 2 cents.

The tips actually go a "goldish-champagne" colour which actually looks pretty cool in person.

The rotary exhaust gases are pretty hot and will discolour stainless steel in this fashion.

I've had a look underneath my car and have noticed not only the tips being this colour, but the entire muffler assembly and pipe work as well.

I don't know.
Maybe it's something to do with the grade of the stainless steel they use or maybe you just aren't driving your car hard enough.

I've had HKS systems on my previous rides and they all seem to go this champagne/gold colour so I assumed it was normal.

is there any reason why you chose this exhaust over the others?

Looks real good by the way.
