I witnessed a drunk driving accident
My friends and I were at our local park around 11:45 pm last night, we heard the roar of a muscle car coming down the hill. He was going maybe 40-50 mph. He only had about 200 yards of road left and he was pushing the limit of how close he could cut the point at which he could not stop at a three way stop sign. I jokingly looked at my friends and said, "He's going to crash..." Then as a tree blocked our view of the car we carried on with our conversation until we heard a few thumps and a car alarm. my friends and i looked at each other in disbelief, then we ran towards the sound of the car alarm.
There we saw that very same mustang with its tail end of the car sticking up from the edge of a 50 foot drop into a wash. The man had not stopped his car at all, blowing by opposite directions of traffic and jumping up the curb into a tree. If the car was placed 2 feet to the right or the left his car would have launched off the cliff and the car would have most certainly flipped on its roof. It was a convertible with its top down so the man would have most definitely died. Anyway, we rushed over to the car and tried to help the man out of the car. It didn't even seem like he realized we were there. he climbed out of the car and instantly fell down the embankment. As he lay there on the rocks below we called 911 and had authorities come help the man. It did not seem like he was in any pain for he was singing. After the paramedics got him on a stretcher they wheeled him back up onto the street above. He sang in a drunken state until he was placed in the ambulance where we could no longer hear him.

stupid guy got drunk and nearly drove his mustang off a cliff into a wash. He was shitfaced and could barely stand. his car is totalled.

no one els was involved in the crash so they did not ask any questions. they pretty much could tell what had happened. I'm sure they will take a blood sample for alcohol. or do a breath test. I want to go check out the tree today and see if its damaged.

It really pisses me off how drunk drivers always get out of accidents scot free, injury wise. God forbid he had hit someone, they most likely would have sustained serious injuries. What an idiot. I hope he gets jailtime.

I witnessed one about 13 years ago. I was driving back from Pleasure Island with my cousins (who coincidentally were visiting from Las Vegas ).
We were in the left lane of the east-bound side of a road stopped at a red light and a big dodge ram pick-up truck slammed into the back of the car to the right of us. Anyway, the guy was really apologetic at first, but later on he was trying to negotiate with the victims not to call the police (it was too late by then), and he actually tried to get back in his truck to drive away. By that point I had his keys in my back pocket. When he realized I snatched his keys he started to get a little aggressive. I was welcoming it, this guy had like 50 lbs on me, but he was no drunken master (and I was getting pissed), but I managed to make him feel guilty by pointing out that he could have easily killed my cousins (we were in an 1988 Nissan Sentra), and he settled down and sat on the curb to wait for police.
I think it's way too easy to get a Driver's License in this country.

Ha ha. Drunk driving is no laughing matter, but reading your summary immediately after reading the full story w/ a pic of a Mustang *** sticking straight up had me rolling in laughter.
