The FCON pro is $1395 plus the RX8 plug and play wiring harness for $405. You will then need air temp and pressure sensor with harnesses for about $300. Total will be about $2100.

 

yeah i know what you are talking about, the system you are talking about i could have got that for $1900, but the one i am getting inlcudes more than wiring harness, i have to change a lot of sensors, and all the sensors and wiring is included for the rest of the $1500, i just talked to the guy today and he said its gonna cost around $4000 - $5000, but he finally found a distributor who had it for $4000 and it was in stock and i went ahead and ordered it. But to get maximum hp, i am thinking of replacing the engine. I need some help before i do that and also some research.

yes i am a student, i used to own a Nissan 350 Z but i totalled it and got a RX8, should have got another Z, but ohh well, I love my Rx8, you gotta move on. I get good grades and my parents take care of it.

you put a 3 rotor in their and no z, no sti, no vette, no porsche will touch it, it would be a beast

 

you said the stock engine was rebuilt- what did you mean by that?

 

that means that the axles weir made stronger, new fuel injectors, and made the rotor lighter by 0.2 lbs. So the rotor spins faster and also the KHS f-con helps tuning it. The spark plugs and the fuel pump also needed to be changed.

Dude this is sooooo much money............... i wish i had half of that ... but nice JOB MAN .. looooove the brakes..... wheels ... so what are you goign to do ... change the engine or Turbo... ? if you get about 330 to 350 WHP you are in a great shape .... 3 rotor is too much work. and you have put so much money into this thing ..

 

after reading all these, i still don't get it. SO you are rebuliding the engine by getting lighter rotors and new injectors, fuel pump, and water pump. is the engine still a 13B like a 2 rotors engine???? what the hack is an innovative turbo? which brand?

btw, how did you change your seats' color. i hate my brown with black. i want something more astonishing.

 

i had to create a new screename so this is me, the seats were done by upholstery shop located in Fresno. He did the door panels too. He did a really good job and very fast too. The engine was rebuilt. It cost me $4500 to rebuild it. I sent it to Auto Signal in LA, and the weight of the stock rx8 rotors are 9.2 lbs, but they reduced it to 9.0 lbs, making it lighter and it will spin faster and produce more HP. The apex seals were also redone so that the engine can hold max power, and also all the hoses were changed for better performance. And the Innovative Turbo, "Innovative is the name of the company that makes custom turbo's. They mainly use it on expensive cars like ferrari's, porsche's and lamborhini's. I had to send the blueprint of the turbo to them and they built a custom dual double barring turbo. Which means that it spins a lot faster and creates the boost almost twice as fast as other turbo. So it means if innovative turbo is boosted at 5 psi, you are actually runnin close to 10 psi because of its capability for spinning really fast. It will was supposed to be done this weekend but looks like it tuesday of next week because the turbo didn't come on time. But its worth to wait. I will post pics as soon as it comes in and also the dyno chart to let you know how well it did. Wish me good luck because i want it to run at 10 psi, hopefully without blowing the motor. If i do blow the motor then i am gonna get a three rotor engine which costs around $5500. I wanted to get the 20B motor setup but that is too expensive. I talked to acosta racing and they said $60,000 for complete installation. It includes the engine, redoing the whole engine bay, the fuel management system, twin turbo and all the parts required. It will give me 900 hp on the wheels but it is too expensive. With that money i can get an Evo IX and put 15 k into the engine and run 500 - 600 hp and still save a lot of money. And also you always have complications sepcailly in CA, smog and stuff. It would be tooo costly.

 

I know man, 330 on the wheels will be good. As of right it was at 280 on the wheels but now i have a bigger turbo and rebuilt engine and i asked the mechanic and he said he is aiming 330whp at high boost and 280-290whp at low boost. but we will find out next week. Three rotor engine is $5500 installed!!!!. I am interested in it but not yet. My RX8's engine barely has 22 k miles, so i will wait until it wears out or maybe blows up, i hope it doesn't!!!. Wish me good luck though, i have been waiting along time to smoke Z's and the EVO's and STI's. 330 whp will be good to comete against evo and sti but it will be close. I wont be able to take them from start, but from a roll yeah, i definitely have a chance. I almost beat an evo from a roll when i only had 243.4 whp with the greddy turbo only. So it will be interesting. I can take the Z though, so at least i have something in my competition that i can beat . The SRT 4 are quick though, they can be made really fast. I underestimated it, but that thing is quick so be careful when you race one.
