It's been awhile...

I haven't posted on this site or driven my car for the past 9 months. Ive been away at school so I haven't had much time. I finally have a month off so I can take the car cover off and take it for drive. I cant tell you how much I miss driving it and working on it, it just sucks gas is up to $4.70 for 93 in my area, oh well it's still worth it.

For the past couple days Ive been reading up on all the new stuff thats out for the rx8 and I really like what Ive been reading, like the MM/BHR turbo kit, (I'm interested in the upgrade kit to replace my greddy turbo, maybe when I finish school and have more time), the access port, mazsports new cold air intake, and dual resonated mid pipe. I'm also excited to see what metra has in store for us with a dash kit, I never could bring myself to get the corsport kit, and never got around to making a custom dash. The only thing I would say I'm not happy with is the body styling of the new 2009 Rx-8, but thats just my opinion. It's funny, I haven't thought about buying parts for the past nine months, and now I drive the car for one day and all I want to do it's work on it and order parts.

I'm just excited to be driving my car again, plus their aren't a lot of Rx-8 drivers in my area, so every time I take it out I get tons of comments. Ill add some pictures of the car, right now Ive been driving around on the stock rims so ill include a picture of what it looked like with the rims on.

I live in Westchester NY, about 45 minutes north of the city. My Rx-8 is Nordic Green, I think they only made it in this color in 2004, maybe 2005 too but I'm not 100% sure.

Evofusion, I saw this in your Sig. Bird Killa - WATCH OUT!

The funny thing about that is it reminds me when I went to take my car for the first test drive after getting the turbo installed, I pulled out nice and slow and as I got to a straight away I went into boost for the first time and just as my smile got really big I nailed a passing bird.....I was like dam, that was crazy.

that MM/ BHR turbo is soooooo freakin' sweet. I've seen a few in action here in SoCal, you're gonna love the upgrade.

Yeah from what Ive read about it, it sounds great. It's really good to know if my greddy turbo ever decides to poop out on me, their is a direct bolt on upgrade ready to take it's place.

Damn, looks good with the stock wheels but FREAKIN HOT with the deep dish rims. You dont see many NG 8's around and almost NEVER see one with a nice kit and rims. I have a NG and am slowly piecing a kit together, hope to be near the level of beauty your car is as someday

Looks great. When you get the chance, do you think you can post pictures of your car from the side? I would like to see the rims from a different angle. Specs on the wheel would be great too. I love the big lip!

Looks great. The excitement I had when coming back to my RX-8 after only 2 weeks away was off the charts, co I can't imagine what it was like for you to get back into yours after 9 months.

is the car cover waterproof? I've had experience with a cheap $120 cover on another car that didn't hold up to the elements and left the car foggy after a season. (due to it not being water proof i guess...

I like how it's nice and tight.

The car cover is from Mazda, made specially for the Rx-8, It's a breathable car cover and it works great. It' retails for about $250 and comes in different colors.

Yeah I still like the car with the stock rims, and I also rarely see other Nordic Greens around, thanks for the comments and best of luck with yours.
